The Yearly 365 Challenge
Prompt #42 (AU) Lost!AU
"What do you mean you have no idea where she is?" She growled low in her throat as she rushed and shoved her tightly against the tree.
"Leave Melody alone Veronica." Josie's hard sharp voice spoke from behind her.
Veronica's eyes never leaving the wide eyes of the girl within an inch from her. "Where is Betty?!"
The blonde swallowed. "I-I don't know." She whined.
"Not good enough." Veronica pressed even harder against the girl. Her muscles stiffened even more at the feel of hands on her shoulders. "Where is Betty!" She demanded.
"Hurting Melody isn't going to help us find Betty!" Josie's voice was closer to Veronica's right ear. She tried to remove Veronica's hold against her band mate and best friend. Her frown deepened as Veronica hold was just like granite.
"I know there is something inside that brain of yours Melody. Now. Where. Is. Betty?!" Tears sparkled in her eyes as she tightened her hold against the blonde.
"I don't know." Whispered Melody as her eyes stared deeply into the cold frozen ones of the brunnette whom was holding her so tightly against the tree.
Veronica pressed harder than she just let the other girl go. She stared wide eyed at the shaken blonde and then turned neck so she was staring into the sad eyes of the redhead whom still had her hand on her shoulder. "We have to find her. I have to find her." She whimpered as her arms crossed across her waist.
"We are going …." Josie spoke as she moved closer to Melody.
"I should never have allowed her to go with anyone else but me. Only I know how to keep her safe." Veronica's head snapped up. "I must go find her." She started to run towards where Melody had come out of the forest.
"Veronica!" Josie shouted out of the running brunnette.
Veronica ingored the shout. She had to find Betty. She had to find her blonde. Her soul.
Josie looked at Melody, "I want you to go back to the others Mel. Send them towards us." She backed away from her friend. "I can't leave Veronica in there on her own. Otherwise there be two people whom need to be looked for." She nodded and turned, and jogged after the fast disappearing Lodge girl.
Melody looked after the two girls until they disappeared from sight. She turned and jogged quickly towards the path where the rest of the group agreed to meet. She had a bad feeling that Veronica won't be the only one whom slams her against a tree; and holds her body in a death lock.
