Mike looked down at the map he was holding, trying to work out where he was.
"You lost?"
Mike turned around and was greeted with green eyes.
"Kinda. Yeah," Mike nodded.
The girl toop the map from Mike.
"Where are you headed to?" she asked.
Mike pulled another bit of paper from his pocket.
"Borders, civic centre," Mike read.
The girl grinned and gestured for Mike to follow.
"I'm Mike," Mike intoduced himself.
"Name's Kate," she replied shacking Mike's hand.
Mike couldn't help but look her outfit over. It started with a dark blue tee shirt that had things sewn all over it, next came a pair of light grey camo pants with straps giong every which way, a pair of blue shoes with one black lace and one pink, head phones around her neck and to end it all a yin and yang headband over her forehead kept her blonde hair from her eyes.
"Interesting," Mike commented.
"Yeah, you're kinda boring," Kate laughed.
Mike had blue jeans and a white button up top. The two sat in silence until their bus came.

Mike woke up to a banging on his cabin. Mike stood and opened the door.
"Sir we've lost all power," Nav told Mike.
"Get ET to see Charge in the engine room and tell him to get us power now," Mike told Nav.
Nav nodded and took off. On his way up to the bridge Mike ran straight into Kate as he turned a corner.
"Wasn't for the storm, it'd be a clear night," Kate smiled.
"Change of clothes but not personality," Mike smiled back.
Kate gently pushed Mike as they staggered down the hall to the bridge.

Kate sat up on the deck after the storm had passed.
"I told you it'd be a clear night," Kate said as Mike sat down.
"I'll make you dinner when wer get back then," Mike offered.
"Thanks," Kate said.
Kate and Mike sat their hands linked together.
"Remember our first meeting?" Kate asked.
"Couldn't forget it," Mike laughed.
Mike pulled Kate onto his lap where her head rested on his shoulder as Mike wound his arms around Kate.
