Sky was in the rec room reading the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when Syd entered. She breathless. She sat down to catch her breath while Z followed her equally running.

Syd! What the hell were you thinking when you challenged me to run a whole 7 kilometers huh! No wonder you are known as the running course queen.

Sky merely chuckled and returned to read his book.

Just then Syd said something about going to do her patrol and left.

Five hours later

Sky, Z and Bridge along with Commander Cruger and Kat were waiting at the emergency operation area where Syd was brought.

A bullet in the chest had hit her and chances of survival were slim as Kat had said, but still everyone was hoping for a miracle.

The Operation 'On' bulb went off and the doctor came out.

I know that it will hurt you but she didn't survive. I am sorry but we did everything we could do but she didn't respond.

Sky couldn't believe it!

He was planning to propose to Syd for being his girlfriend and slowly the person who would stay with him for the rest of the life was gone.

Gone from the world and would never come back.

In Sky's bedroom, later that night

Sky opened his closet to only take out couple a strips of sleeping pills. He took a handful of the pills and fell in deep sleep. He knew he was going to meet Syd in the other side of the world.
