Naruto was thinking about Sakura all day. He thought about all the times when they were together making each other happy. He always loved her. He knew he would never stop loving her. But he also knew that she didn't love him. Naruto knew, as did most people, that Sakura had loved Sasuke. What Naruto didn't know was that less than a mile away Sakura was thinking about Naruto. She didn't want to be thinking about him, but Sakura just couldn't help herself. Naruto was always there. From when Sasuke left, he had always been there. Even though she hated to admit it, Sakura knew she was starting to like Naruto as more than a best friend. Was that really so hard to believe though? They had been through so much together, from losing Sasuke, to saving Gaara. Sakura knew that Naruto liked or even loved her, but she knew she could never give him all of her heart until there was no hope of getting Sasuke back. Sakura could never do that to him. She thought Naruto deserved more than that. She didn't think she deserved his love, but Sakura didn't know that Naruto didn't care about these things, he just wanted her. Both Sakura and Naruto couldn't take it anymore. Naruto needed to make Sakura understand, so he decided to pay her a visit. Sakura decided she needed to talk to Naruto and get her feelings straightened out. She left to go to Naruto's house.
Naruto was walking towards Sakura's house deep in thought when suddenly he slammed into someone and fell to the floor.
Gomen-
Naruto!
Sakura-chan! Gomen nasai, I was just on my way to see you, we need to talk.
Let's go to my place then, no offense but chances are there will be nowhere for me to sit at your apartment.
The two walked to Sakura's house in silence.
Just as they reached the front door Naruto suddenly looked up and said Sakura-chan I need to tell you how I really feel.
I am not a little immature kid anymore. I- I love you Sakura-chan.
To Naruto's dismay Sakura began to cry.
All Sakura could think about was how she wasn't good enough for him. She couldn't do anything for him.
Sakura suddenly felt Naruto pull her into his arms.
Desperate to comfort the one girl he ever loved he pleaded with her to tell him what was wrong.
When Sakura offered no answer Naruto just followed his instincts and lifted her chin so that she was looking into his eyes and he slowly leant down towards her to meet her lips.
It felt so good to Naruto, but Sakura seemed to be unresponsive.
Sakura was shocked at first, but then all she could think was of how right this felt. Maybe she was wrong, maybe she could give Naruto her heart.
Just as Naruto was about to pull away in defeat, Sakura began to respond to his kiss affectionately. She tried to put all her feelings into this one kiss so he would understand.
As they finally broke apart Naruto heard Sakura whisper I love you too.
Naruto walked home tonight thinking how much better that went than he thought and how things between him and Sakura would never be the same again.
Naruto went to sleep that night content and for once truly happy.
