Fragile Destiny
Just a drabble I came up with after watching the Destiny 2 trailer
The city burns around them as the invading empire turned their eyes onto the tower and the surrounding landscape. Their leader standing tall in the ashes of the square rallying his mighty red-guard troops.
The evacuation was almost complete, Vevala, Ikora and Cayde were stood defending the escaping citizens and guardians alike.
Spider looked from the exit back to what remained of the tower, then started making her way towards it.
"SPIDER! What in the hell are doing? Going back there is suicide." Cayde yelled at her.
"If she wishes to be foolish then let her, we have people to take care of." Ikora scolded.
Stopping Spider turned to the Vanguard. "I need that note." Was all she said before turning once again back into the raging flames.
"What note?" Zevala voiced the lingering thought they each had but only had time to ponder for a second longer as a hail of gunfire from the left caused him and the others to shift focus.
Spider was just heading into the main square when she saw it was littered with Cabal troops. The largest being in the centre seemingly in the middle of delivering a speech of some kind. Spider was good at interrupting those.
They both stopped and stared each other down for a what seemed like years before Spider finally broke the silence that had settled over them.
"I am going inside that tower and retrieving what is rightfully mine. If you even look at me wrong, I will eviscerate everyone within this city, be they guardian or Cabal." She spoke the words maliciously, an aura of pure darkness seemingly overtaking her. Eyes blazing with demonic light Spider took her first steps forward.
The Cabal were too stunned at the sudden change in Spider to try to stop her. The very thing they had been running from manifested itself seemingly from nowhere. No, this thing seemed... different.
Spider was just on her way past the leader when she stopped and spoke just loudly enough for him to hear. "If you do not run, you and your empire will crumble before me."
Continuing inside the tower Spider headed into a secluded spot where she had hidden the precious item. A simple piece of parchment which held the scratchings of a nervous writer.
It read:
Dear Spider PoisonBlood
After all that we've done together with Oryx, Siva and Aksis, I just feel a little closer to you and I don't know why. I guess what I'm saying is that I might like you, in more than just a friendly way. I don't know what I'm saying, but I want to talk with you.

Spider was outside the city looking at the Vanguard who had waited just beyond it's walls for her.
"You get what you needed?" Cayde asked her.
Spider nodded at the exo before looking on at the sea of people just off in the distance, now she just had to find him again.

This is just a small idea of what a Destiny 2 might look like at the start if I add Spider in the first game. Not gonna pursue anything yet but I thought it was fun to write.
