Emmett was walking one day. He went to his favorite spot, by the lake. It was under the shade of a willow tree. He took off his shoes and dangled his feet in the icy water.
For a while, he sat there, thinking of his family. He would soon go to work and then find a person to marry. Then he would have lots of children.
It was a warm day. Emmett, decided to swim in the water. He took off his shirt and slipped into the icy water. He swam to the other shore of the lake, then climbed out of the lake.
Emmett, had packed a picnic lunch. He took it and opened up his basket. Inside was bread, butter and cheese. He eat quickly, then drank water from the clean, clear lake.
After his meal, Emmett decided to take a nap. He went under the willow tree's sheltering branches. There he slept for an hour, basking in the cool spring air, dreaming blissfully of his life.
Emmett, woke from his nap and rubbed his eyes. He had slept so that the sun was now high in the sky. He stood and stretched lazily.
Emmett left his basket, figuring he would return for it later. He stood and walked back towards his home, five miles away. He had to go through woods and follow a path.
Emmett reached a clearing suddenly. There, in it, was a bear. He turned and ran towards his home, the bear was close on his heals. It hit him down with a massive paw, its strength no match for a strong young man.
The bear used its claws to rake down his face. It left long, deep marks in his flesh, Emmett felt the world spin.
An Angel appeared above him. It took him and ran him down and away from the bear. He was in pain, but he was with an angel.
