Dearest Charlie
When I feel your gaze across the room,
I am sure the whole world can hear my heart's tune.
I look up and smile, graciously,
Then return to my work so that no one will see.
For, often, as I sleep,
I dream of your handsome face,
Your eyes an endless, unexplored place.
The love and desire penetrates from your heart to mine
As I feel our fingers perfectly intertwine.
You move towards me with poise and grace,
As I memorize the curves of your masculine face.
Next to you I feel small and weak,
I shiver slightly as your lips gently brush my cheek.
You lean in as my chin raises,
Each night my dreams traverse these phases.
And just as our lips are about to touch,
I realize one kiss won't be enough!
My mind races as we move closer,
I can smell you and feel you as my eyes begin to flutter.
Then I lay awake,
Both relieved and distressed,
For that kiss would have far surpassed the rest.
Though it's only a love that exists in my dreams,
You have no idea how real it seems…
So, when you see me and I shyly smile,
Please understand that it is my voracious desire
For you to love me that caused my gaze to flee.
So I'll say this simply, no need to be clever,
I love you Charlie, I'll love you now and forever.
