AN: I've written Larxene as a bitch a few times now, but I'd like to show that she isn't all bad. Prompt number 49 (nearly finished now) - "I think I'm in love with you".
"Rox?"
The blond Nobody looked up, to find Axel standing in his doorway. That wasn't unusual, not since they'd embarked on this… fling, if that's what you could call it, two months ago. What was strange was the expression on the redhead's face. For the first time since Roxas had arrived at Castle Oblivion, he looked uncertain.
"Come in, Axel."
He did so, making sure the door was firmly closed. The inhabitants of Castle Oblivion weren't exactly known for respecting other people's privacy. Glancing around, he sat down on Roxas's bed.
"What's got you looking so twitchy?"
"Larxene, who else? Apparently she saw us last night and is thinking of telling Xemnas."
"Should have known it wouldn't stay secret for long. Nothing ever does around here." Roxas paused, pondering the situation. "What does she want in order for her silence?"
Axel just raised an eyebrow.
"Come on, Axel, this is Larxene we're talking about. She'll keep quiet for something, if we can find out what."
"You're as devious as she is, sometimes. What she wants is to find out whether this… what we have… is just sex, or whether it could be something more."
Roxas wobbled, then sat down on a chair before he collapsed. "We don't have hearts, Axel, so how could it possibly be anything more?"
"That's what I told her. She said that if I had a heart, would it make a difference?"
"Would it, Axel?" Roxas had to ask the question, even though he wasn't sure he wanted to know the answer.
"Roxas, I… I think I'm in love with you. Or I could be, if I had a heart with which to feel love."

Outside the door, Larxene smiled to herself as she opened a portal back to her own room. She'd had her suspicions about those two for a while – they were far too affectionate for it to just be sex. They might accuse her of being devious in her methods of obtaining information, but there was no doubt it worked.
