Early morning Quidditch practices will be the death of us all. James
thought as he stumbled around their dormitory. Wait a minute, didn't I call
this practice? He thought, shaking his head.
Little did he know how right he was. He shook Sirius awake and left him to get ready. James climbed up the stairs opposite theirs and slipped into Lily's dorm.
James felt sorry for her, trapped in a room with these monsters. He knew she hated them, but who could blame her?
Deciding to have a little fun before he woke Lily up, James pulled his wand from his scarlet Quidditch robes.
Whispering a spell, he turned Mirina's hair a bright lime green and spiked it. Abbey and Claire received the same thing, only orange and purple respectively.
Satisfied, James shook Lily slightly. She moaned and scowled half-heartedly at him. "Go away Potter, I need sleep."
James shook his head. "Practice in ten." She glared at him, they didn't get along particularly well, to say the least. She narrowed her eyes at him.
"Wait a minute, who said you could come in here? It's the girls' dorm!" She scowled at him. He grinned, ah, innocently at her.
"You did, you didn't want me hollering and waking up the mindless clones." James winked and pulled out his wand again. Quick as a flash, before she could stop him, he magicked the curtains open and levitated a bucket of water from the attached girls' toilets.
He dumped it on her and ran out the door.
"JAMES POTTER! You are so dead!" Followed him down the hall.
"I love you two Lily, see you in five minutes!" He called to her.
Abbey, Mirina, and Claire woke up to Lily's death threats. James could hear their screams and Lily's laughter from the common room.
He was greeted by his best friend's scowling face. "Can't we practice when the sun has actually risen?" Sirius whined.
"What are you talking about! The sun has risen-" James flung a curtain open to be meet with twinkling stars. "Anyways, you can't be serious! We have to practice in the morning." James realized what he had said and groaned in defeat.
"Of course I'm Sirius! Who else could I be?" Sirius grinned. "I suppose I could be a James, but it's not likely. Maybe a Remus? No. I'm definitely Sirius. And you are?"
Lily ran down the stairs, her hair still dripping. She glared at James who was muttering to himself.
"What's wrong with our, ah, oh so wonderful, infallible, dear leader?" Lily asked sarcastically.
"I can't believe I fell for it. I can't believe it, how many times?! How could I fall for that again? I can't believe I fell for it! Why did they have to name him that? What ever did I do?!" James muttered, banging his head against the wall.
"He can't believe he fell for it?" Sirius said with fake helpfulness.
Lily glared at him. "Fell for what?" She asked angrily.
"I said something stupid and," Lily snorted. "And he said, you can't be serious! And I said 'Of course I'm Sirius! Who else could I be?" Sirius grinned. "I suppose I could be a James, but it's not likely. Maybe a Remus? No. I'm definitely Sirius. And you are?' and he started muttering about stupidity and such." Sirius grinned widely.
Lily laughed and slapped James, not so lightly, on the head. "I can't believe you fell for that! Well you woke me up, so lets get going!" She smiled with false sweetness and grabbed his ear. "GO!" She commanded.
James groaned one last time and rubbed his head. "Evans, I just fell for what has to be the most overused joke ever, and you still feel the need to hit me?"
James scowled and Sirius laughed. "Come on, oh what was it? Ah yes, wonderful, infallible, dear leader?"
He looked at Lily, who nodded. "Time for practice."
