The story honestly excludes the equalist movement and really focuses on the developing relationship of Bolin and Korra. Everything else basically remains the same.
Since the championship was only a few fights away, Bolin convinced Mako it would be more beneficial to the team to have Korra stay with them for the next couple of weeks. Korra was ecstatic to be staying with the fire ferret brothers and get a little breathing room from Tenzin.
"So this is where you'll be staying, Korra." Bolin gestured to the room that contained only a bed, dresser with a mirror, a window, and a nightstand. Korra tightened her grip on her bag of things flung over her shoulder and placed her other hand on her hip as she surveyed the room.
"Hmm…I like it." She smiled at Bolin. "Already feels like home." Just as Korra set her things down, Naga popped her head in through the window and barked excitedly. "Hahaha. You like it too, Naga?" Korra laughed as she petted Naga's head. Bolin smiled and couldn't help but admire the beauty that stood before him. She was just so perfect in every way. It would be a dream to actually capture this goddesses' heart. But he knew how she felt about his brother…
"Bolin? Boooooooooooolin? Bo?" Korra was lightly slapping Bolin's cheeks to try and break him out of his sudden stupor. "Are you alright Bo?" Korra looked concerned. Bolin blinked furiously and snapped back into happy Bo mode.
"Oh yeah! I forgot to give you your housewarming gift!" Bolin jolted out of the room and down the hall to the one he shared with Mako. He came back with his hands behind his back. Korra laughed. "Bolin, you don't need to give me a housewarming gift when I'm staying in YOUR home." The earthbender looked baffled. "Of course I do! It's the only gentlemanly thing to do when the most beautiful girl in the world comes to live with a being so unworthy of her presence!" Bolin said all this while making dramatic gestures with one hand and spinning around the room. Korra giggled and shrugged. "Alright then. What is it you're hiding behind your back then?"
Bolin jumped up, spun around in a complete circle, and came down on a knee in front of Korra. The avatar lost her confidence for a second and blushed furiously. "Bo, what…-"
"Here! I picked them just for you!" Bolin grinned as he held up a bouquet of freshly picked roses to her. Korra wasn't sure if she was relieved or disappointed but she accepted the gift all the same. "Thanks Bo." She smiled. "I'll get a vase and put them right on my nightstand." Korra glided out of the room to find a vase.
Pabu came running in and jumped onto his best friend's shoulder. Bolin petted the fire ferret and sighed. "Think she'll ever look forward to that being a ring instead of flowers Pabu?" The fire ferret nuzzled Bolin's neck in response. The earthbender smiled to himself. "One can only hope huh?"
Yeah, it was short but it was just the intro. Something to get you readers interested. Haha, don't worry. The next chapters will definitely be longer and more action packed. Review! :D
