Stranded. He was stranded on this stupid mudball that the filthy fleshlings called 'Earth'.
Skoodge plopped down on a bench, sighing as he did so. This is what the tallest did? Take their short war heroes and send them light-years away?
He sat there, his ship destroyed in the lake behind him. It was nearly completely gone as his angry robot emerged from the murky depths.
MIR looked at her 'master' and her eyes turned red.
"The ship is beyond repair. The disguise creator is demolished as well."
"Thank you, MIR," he said with a frown. Great, now he had no disguise either. "Please see if you can contact Invader Zim. His computer's code is 626001."
The robot glared at him, then flew off to a radio frequency tower.
He was alone again.
Sighing softly, he leaned back, keeping his antennae down so no one could see that he was an alien. However, seeing as he was far from any real civilization, other than an occasional tourist, there was no real threat.
After an hour or so, he felt a presence of someone nearby and he jumped.
Looking down, he saw a tiny Earth female.
She couldn't be older than 3 or 4 human years, so Skoodge crouched down upon seeing her teary little face.
"Yes, little Earth-smeet?"
"I… I need yo hep…"
"With what?"
She was fighting tears, her tiny palms wiping them away before they leaked out. Her plump, blonde pigtails shook as she squished the tears out of her baby blue eyes into her hand, then onto her bright blue dress. After a moment, she looked back at him, "I-I wost my big bo…."
He tried to translate it, "Your… Brother?"
She nodded, pigtails flying.
"Here…" he patted the bench next to him, "If we stay in one spot, he should be able to find you…" Then he remembered something, "… Aren't you scared of me?"
She shook her head as she climbed up next to him, "You pwetty!" she giggled and pulled at his sleeve, "An' you got pink!"
He chuckled, "I'm pretty? How do you see that?"
She pointed to his eyes, "Dose pwetty."
He just shook his head, then smiled a little bit, giving in to agree with the girl.
They sat and talked for a while. She asked him question after question, Skoodge trying to answer all of them fast enough to please her. He had found out her name was Patty, her favorite color was pink, and she knew how to make crowns. She, on the other hand, learned he was an alien, he was a hero, and that he was sent here to live among other things.
Patty sat on the ground, playing with daisies and making chains with them as she did so.
Eventually, they heard a boy's voice call out, "Patty! Patty! Where are you?"
The little girl stood up, "Das my bo! Dank you, Skoodgie!" she brushed her dress off and hugged Skoodge, placing the flower crown on his lap, "Bye-bye!"
He watched as she ran off, calling for her brother. He smiled a bit and set the crown on his head, "Well… That was the most fun I've had in about 50 earthen years…"
However, his fun was spoiled as MIR landed next to him, "Hurry up, our ride is coming. … What is that stupid thing on your head?"
"MIR, who is coming?"
"Zim and a Dib-thing."
"Wonderful."
