Always
Five years. They are five years apart, Itachi reminds himself. He should not be interested in someone who is so far in age from him. However, he hears Sakura's friend—Ino was it?—say that Sakura's always liked older men. That's all the convincing he needs to start formulating a plan to capture a certain pink-haired kunoichi's affection.
When Itachi sets his mind to something, he always gets it. It's only a matter of time this time.
Blind
Itachi would have to blind not to see how glaringly beautiful Haruno Sakura is.
Well anyone who knows who Itachi is knows that he's anything but, and he's more than aware of her beauty, and to be quite honest, it's quite distracting. The first time he finds his mind wandering to her instead of his current task is more than a bit unnerving but it's been happening more and more lately and he knows that until he gains her affection, it will only get worse. Before you know it, Uchiha Itachi will be walking into walls.
Capable
Sakura learns that Itachi is just as stubborn as she is, if not more.
"Itachi, I am perfectly capable of walking by myself."
"I am aware of that."
"Then put me down."
"No."
Infuriating bastard…
Date
On their first date, Itachi is hopelessly clueless as to what he's supposed to do. He's always been a bit of a loner and has never been on a date before.
As the night ends, Sakura leans up to him and he doesn't know what to do; he assumes that this is where he kisses his date goodnight. Her eyes are closed, so he closes his as well and leans forward.
They miss and bump noses, hard.
Their awkward first date foreshadows the nature of their relationship, but Sakura wouldn't have it any other way.
Embarrassing
Itachi doesn't know the meaning of the word embarrassing, he's much too proud for that.
Sakura however, isn't above such things. So when she receives a small box at work, containing her unmentionables which she left at his house, she turns about seven different shades of red. Needless to say, she is nowhere to be seen for the next three days.
Flowers
Itachi is told that girls like to receive flowers so he proceeds to buy a bouquet of flowers that catch his eye. Sakura stares at the bouquet strangely when she receives it, but smiles when she reads the note attached.
'Black roses; rare flowers for an equally rare individual.'
Who knew the Uchiha was such a romantic?
Glue
Sakura had convinced Itachi to come with her and volunteer their time at the Academy. However, no one had told him that he'd end up baby-sitting eleven-year old menaces with a hand glued to his hair.
Sakura tries to hold in her laugh at her irritated looking lover carrying a child by the collar, another holding onto his leg, and another sitting on his shoulders with a hand tangled in his hair…and fails miserably.
Halloween
Sakura dresses up as Cat Woman for Halloween one year and had planned to go to the bar with her friends for a night out. However, when Itachi sees her leather-clad body, well…Sakura's plans don't include getting out of bed that night.
