Chapter 1: The Beginning

Voices.

That was all that I could comprehend as I attempted to open my sleep-ridden eyes. I finally managed to opened them a crack and looked up above me groggily.

Ugh what hit me, I thought to myself and attempted to sit up. A wave of nausea almost immediately overtook my senses, causing my body to unconsciously sway back into a laying position.

"Hey guys, she's awake" I heard a young female voice claim and I managed to turn her head to left to see an entirely unfamiliar girl about my age with her hair up in two pony-tails, quite like the way I tended to style my hair. However, this girl also had pink and along with her natural black color. There was a long pony-tail running down her back and she wore a shirt with a green robot on it and shorts with dark leggings and lace up boots.

I perceived several more sets of footsteps and spun my head to the right to see two boys. The first was a boy looked to be about 15 or 16 with dark hair. He was wearing jeans, and a gray t-shirt with another long sleeved shirt underneath. Once again, he was unfamiliar.

The second boy appeared to be younger and had brown hair that spiked out in many directions as if he had just woken up from a work induced coma and failed to brush his hair before emerging to the outside world. This boy, appearing to be about twelve or thirteen, also wore a t-shirt and jeans but he had orange-framed glasses.

"Sari, are you okay?" The older boy asked, a bit of concern eminent in his voice. I just gazed in confusion before shooting straight up onto the gurney I was on and hoarsely shouting, "Who are you and how do you know my name!?"

I lifted one hand to cup my unnaturally tender throat, speculating what in the world had transpired that it felt that raw. I swayed once more and regrettably tilted sideways, falling off of the gurney and rushing downward to meet the cold, unforgiving floor. My saving grace was the big and immense green servo that reached out and snatched me up, rescuing me from my impending doom.

"Whoa there Sari, the Doc Bot just fixed you up so try not to exert yourself too much," said a accustomed voice. My head snapped up with such force, it was honestly a marvel that my neck didn't snap. A green bot staring back at me, one that I could deem as being somewhat familiar. Although... He did look fairly different.

"Bulkhead?" I inquired his appearance. The green, lovable lugnut, deposited me back on the gurney. I quickly clutched the fuzzy purple blanket to my chest and started ringing the soft, malleable material over and over again in my hands. I kept trying to figure out what was going on, but my memory seemed to be lacking.

Suddenly, I knew what I needed to do.

Crossing my legs, and settling into a relaxed postion, I began to tune out all the voices around me. Not before I heard one of the boys ask, "What is she doing?"

Someone shushed him, and the white noise of the world faded out.

Processor Over Matter was something that I hadn't used in a long while so I was more out of practice than I should have been. In all honesty, I haven't used it since… Oh Primus, I didn't have time to reflect on past heart aches. I needed to unlock that past events in my processor.

I felt something tug in the pit of my stomach and abruptly I was no longer looking into the blackness of my processor but at a distant memory.

"From what I can tell, that space bridge is so unstable it has become more like black hole," Bulkhead screeched trying to be heard over the giant machine. He, along with Bumbleebee, Arcee, Jazz, Optimus, Ratchet, and I were trying to avoid being sucked into the swirling vortex of the malfunctioning space bridge. We were grasping onto whatever was in our reach to stay put as the vortex sucked in pieces of surrounding buildings and other debris.

I watched in dismay as Biltzwing and Megatron were sucked into it. The massive whirlwind then fixated on trying to pull me into it. I was already in robot mode, but my strength was failing me fast. With a shriek of agony, I regrettably lost my hold on the pipe that had been my last saving grace. I began descending towards the space bridge. I panicked and hastily dug my nails into the cement, hoping to slow myself down.

"Sari," I heard a voice shout, and swung my head towards it. "Bee!" I bawled and watched my best friend miserably reach out towards me.

"Bumblebee listen to me," The optimistic baby blue orbs I had learned to trust and love over such a short period of time swung towards me, shining with so much fear.

"It'll be okay. Don't try to help or you'll get dragged into it too." I had unintentional tears brimming in my optics.

"We'll find a way," I reassured as I loosened my grasp. Before I completely let go, I smiled slightly, and remembered one of the first things 'Bee had said to me.

"You can trust this face." And I let go.

"SARI!"

My eyes snapped open and I recognized how close the Imposter Bulkhead and children were to me, looking upon me with a combination of confusion and wonder. Snapping out of my stupor, I brought out my energy blades. IB (Imposter Bulkhead) and the kids' mouths fell open in disbelief as I brought them up into an X motion in front of me, "Back off!"

"Jack, Miko, Raf!" A new voice barked out and the tall boy scampered to hide behind the blue female bot I had failed to notice before. He was quickly followed by the youngest boy and reluctantly the dark haired girl who let out an annoyed huff. In other circumstances, I may have snorted at her annoyance. However, I was currently preoccupied with struggling to comprehend who these pretenders were and where the frag I was.

"Arcee, what's wrong with Sari," The dark-haired girl who I thought was called Miko asked. That sounded the most appropriate out of the three names the femme had yelled.

Wait a second… Arcee?!

The Arcee that I knew hardly spoke above a whisper unless she was really infuriated at something that Ratchet or Bumblebee had done. And the last time I had checked, Arcee was pink with really light highlights. Not the dark blue almost black femme standing in front of me with her blaster triained on my spark. This Arcee shrugged, "Ratchet's the one who helped Jack's mother mend her broken rib from the last Con fight."

A red and white bot hastily merged into the discussion, quarreling with Arcee. I began to think; So the red and white one must be Ratchet and he seems about as grumpy as our team's Ratchet. At least I'm assuming he's Ratchet, he argues with Arcee same as he does any other time. Bulkhead seems to be same goofy, and thoughtful Bulkhead I know. Arcee appears to have quite an attitude. She's kind of menacing actually.

"Hey," I said, struggling to pull the attention of the room back to me. Unfortunately, no one even looked my way, they just continued to argue with each other. "HEY!" I screeched, blades retracting as my hands balled into fists in frustration. Everyone looked at her me, and a faint blush soon decorated my cheeks.

"Now that I have your attention," I paused to look around at the military looking surroundings, "Where am I?"

The dark-haired older boy, I was assuming was named Jack, looked at me quizzically. With a raised eyebrow, he chuckled, "The Autobot headquarters, where else would you be Sari?"

I just shook my head and dropped to the floor, head in my hands, "What year is it?"

"2012?" whispered Raf without missing a beat, sounding honest to Primus confused.

My hands started to quiver and I took an unsteady gasp, "That's not possible, it's only 2010..."

Miko came forward, and clutched my trembling hands in her own, "Sari, you're really starting to scare me. What's going on?"

As I was scrutinizing my surroundings, I realized that I wasn't in my typical attire. It was metallic colored shirt, with a gray jacket with patches on the elbows. I also had on a skirt that was pink and had a metallic belt-like lining. Feeling around my face, I noticed that my hair wasn't up in my usually bun style, but was instead framing my face in soft curls. I had on black headband with a pink flower on it, and wore metallic flats.

I caught my reflection in the metal of Bulkhead's foot and pushed Miko's hands away and took a step closer. I tucked a strand of my hair behind my surprising pierced ears (which featured three holes plus my cartilage), and analyzed my maquillage. I was only wearing slight eyeliner, lipgloss, and eyeshadow, but it aided me to look older, more mature. The eyeliner seemed to make my eyes even bluer, if that was even imaginable. I then looked back up at everybody gawking at me.

Ratchet finally broke the silence and softly quantified, "You act as if you've never seen yourself before…"

"This is going to sound utterly and completely mental," I began, "But I'm from a different time and dimension."

"...and that's pretty much my story." I finished. I had just told them pretty much everything about myself ranging from my favorite color, to my experiences with the bots like camping with Powl and Bee, and helping Bulkhead with his art.

"Prowl had been my trainer, helping me master these new powers of mine until..." I trailed off and found an abrupt curiosity in the flooring as I started to choke on my tears, "Well, until he died." I finished sadly, absently playing with a strand my hair.

Everyone was quiet one again until Raf spoke up, "I'm really sorry for your loss Sari." He put his hand on my shoulder, and smiled forlornly. I grinned a thanks and then got up off the couch where I had been squished between Jack and Miko for the last half an hour. "I just have one question," Jack started as he stretched his arms above his head, "How is it that we've seen you here this whole time and well, you don't know us."

"Hmm, not sure. Bulk said it was a black hole… Somehow it must have opened up a wormhole or something that not only allowed or me to travel through time but I guess interdimensionally as well."

Raf, Miko, Jack, Arcee, Bulkhead, and Ratchet stared like me had grown a second head. I just paused and flashed them an arrogant smirk, "What? I may not have attended school, but I had a tutor-bot. Also, Bulkhead has been teaching me all about Space Bridge schematics."

"Okay then," Miko trailed off, and then recognition passed over her face, "I just realized we should probably have some official introductions. I'm Miko Nakadai and you're my cousin."

My face lit up, "I thought you looked kind of like me," I exclaimed happily. A shit-eating grin descended upon Miko's face, "This cute little genius right here," she thrust her thumb in the direction of Raf as Jack locked the kid in a headlock and gave him a noogie, "Is Rafael Jorge Gonzales Esquivel." She smirked as the kid bowed out of Jack's grasp and smiled shyly at me.

"Please, please, please, just call me Raf! This delightful but sometimes very irritating guy is Jack Darby. You two are sort of... Uh you're kinda-"

"DATING" Miko blurted out and my face grew beet red. I eyed Jack questionably as he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.

He is rather cute... I contemplated, but stopped and shook my head, Ugh I seriously don't have time for this.

Arcee interrupted my thought process, "One more thing; I'm Jack's guardian, Bulkhead is Miko's, Ratchet is Raf's, and yours is Bumblebee. I don't know how things operated in your realm but you four are the only humans who know about us."

I grinned, I knew how to keep a secret, "Okay… Y'know you honestly remind me of my bots from back home except my Arcee is pink and doesn't really talk." I knew that if Arcee had a tounge, she would be sticking it out at me. "Also, I have an Optimus Prime in my world and from what I can see, you don't."

"Actually Sari," I jumped at the booming, deep voice that entered the room turned to the doorway to see two new bots entering, "I exist in this world as well. Ratchet had had an open comm with Bumblebee and myself, informing us of the predicament you are currently in. I promise you, I will do everything in my power to help you get home."

"Thank you sir," I bowed my head in respect and then really took a look at the two Autobots. They were the same height which threw me off a bit but I noticed the familiar black and yellow paint.

"Bee!" I shouted and scrambled to jump onto the banister, riding it the whole way down, and dismounting by doing a back flip, despite to the 'bots protest.

I ran to him and hugged his leg, "I know that you aren't my 'Bee but it's great to see a familiar face." I heard a whirring noise that sounded like garbled Cybertronian and looked up in confusion.

What the…?

It had come from Bee. I tilted my head as the sound came again.

"Bumblebee, quit messing around!" I shouted, becoming aggravated.

Why isn't he talking back?

"Sari," I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to see her Miko looking at me.

"Bumbleebee lost his voice-box to the hands of Megatron." Miko stated and I couldn't help it, I began to cry.

"That's not possible," I sniffed, mind clouding over with emotion. "I just talked to him before I was sucked into the portal, I told him I'd find a way."

'Bee knelt down onto one knee and before I knew it, I was scooped up into his hand, cradled over his chassis, right over his spark. He knew that my eventful day was catching up with me. That's why he just sat in the middle of the base on the Autobot logo etched into the floor and cradled me as I cried out wanting my Bumblebee, my father, and my home.
