It was the truth too, he knew that there were a lot of people that wouldn't believe him- he and Angel had moved together throughout Europe for over a hundred years, all vampires were deviants so he and Angel must have been regular companions right? Wrong. Well, wrong enough for the purpose of this conversation.
Push all the other memories to the back of the mind, pretend they didn't exist because they took him bad places.
To be honest that one intimate memory, took him to a worse place anyway, though he wasn't even willing to admit that to himself.
