Chapter 1
Kagome sat in Kaede's hut. She stared at a little pot on the floor. It was hot. She absentmindedly whipped the sweat from her forehead.
'Why isn't anyone here?' she thought. Kagome wanted to talk to some one.
The curtain over the door open slightly and Shippo rushed in. He was breathing hard.
"KAGOME!" Shippo cried as he ran over to her. He jumped in her arms just as InuYasha came in.
"Where is he!" InuYasha yelled as he frantically searched around the hut.
Kagome pushed Shippo behind her, trying her best to hid him.
"Shippo! You better get out here!" InuYasha said. Then he looked at Kagome. Kagome tried her best to keep a strait face, but InuYasha always look funny when he was mad.
InuYasha sat next to Kagome.
"So... Have you seen Shippo?" He asked in a cool voice.
"Uh... No... Haven't seen him..." Kagome answered.
"Are you sure?" InuYasha asked as he moved closer to her.
"I told you I haven't seen him!" Kagome said.
"Ok. I believe you." He answered. Kagome sighed.
"Well? Are you going to leave?" she asked. "Shippo's not in here." Shippo quietly laughed mockingly at InuYasha.
InuYasha's ears pricked up.
"I heard that." He said to Shippo.
Shippo gasped as InuYasha reached behind Kagome and grabbed him by the tail.
"Let me go you stupid head!" Shippo cried. InuYasha hit him on the head. A huge bump appeared on Shippo's head.
"OW!" Shippo cried as he rubbed his head. "Let me go!"
Once again InuYasha hit him. And Shippo cried again.
Kagome couldn't stand to see InuYasha hitting Shippo like that.
"SIT!!" Kagome yelled at InuYasha. The necklace around is neck glowed. InuYasha only had time to look up at Kagome before he crashed to the ground.
Kagome grabbed Shippo and pushed him out the door.
"Hey! I want to stay with you Kagome!" Shippo said.
"Go and play Shippo. I'll take care of InuYasha." Kagome said. Shippo smiled and happily ran off.
Kagome glared at InuYasha.
"What did I do?" InuYasha whined.
"SIT!!" Kagome yelled. "SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT!" InuYasha hit the ground hard each time she said sit.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!!" InuYasha yelled as he lay on the floor.
"For being mean to Shippo." She answered. Kagome walked over to InuYasha and kneeled down. InuYasha glanced between her legs, then at her face. Kagome reached over and touched is ears.
InuYasha let out a low growl as she rubbed his ears.
"I have to go now. Don't do anything stupid!" Kagome said as stood up and left.
