The beginning of the end

Our baby boy is getting so big. I cannot believe it has been eight whole months since he has been born. James is away again on business being a professional Quidditch Player plus working in the ministry can't be that easy I suppose; I just wish he would be home with Harry and I. He loves Harry and has already taken him up on his broom. Quite a surprise to me that was. Times are not the best; I just wish the man of the house was home to take care of me. Right now, the man of the house is an eight month year old, but just looking at this boy, I believe he has extraordinary power. He looks just like his father, except he has my emerald green eyes.
The love I have for this little bundle is remarkable. Such a big heart for such a tiny thing. I hope when he grows up he will be a brave Gryffindor, like his father and I. Oh God, when he grows up. We all better live through these years. I will sacrifice my own life I Voldemort wants to take him. I will kill Voldemort if he kills my son. The hate I have for that creature is as large as the love I have for my son.
The scary thing is, two weeks ago, James and I put money in a vault, in case something happens to us. Oh, how I hope and pray nothing will happen. I want to see my boy grow up, go to Hogwarts, marry, and be a father.
The door to our house is opening It is James, he is home, finally.
I ran down the stairs to see him and he engulfs me in his strong arms twirling me around picking me up off of the floor.
"Is Harry here?" He asks.
"Of course silly, right this way." I tell him whipping a misplaced hair that had fallen by his eye.
I took his hand and led him into the nursery where our son lay. His big green eyes looked up at James and as soon as James picked him up out of his crib he started giggling. Like father, like son, I think watching this beautiful scene before me.
