AN: Hello. This is very short.
"So…why don't you two ever talk?" The question immediately froze the jovial atmosphere around the campfire, the imp who had asked resting on a wolf of shadows merely looking at the two blonde warriors, one a child sitting in the lap of the soldier.
"What!" The soldier's fairy, Proxi, flew up to her, clearly enraged at what she said. "Why wo-" It was easy for the ruler of the Twilight to knock her aside with a causal wave of her hand.
"I asked you two a question, maybe you didn't hear me so I'll repeat it, why don't you ever talk?" The Twilight Princess continued to look at the two Heroes, ignoring the somewhat frigid air of those around the campfire as they turned to look at her. "I mean all I ever hear are grunts or shouts but never any words. Are you too stupid to manage it or something?"
The two didn't look at her, the soldier looked down at his feet and the child simply hid in the green tunic of the soldier, not turning to face the imp. None of the others were accepting of the rather blunt method Midna had used to pose a curiosity of many of them. Most of them glared at her, Darunia looking especially affronted by her words. Of course, Midna didn't take such a response very well.
"I'm serious about this!" She floated off of her seat, her wolf rising from the ground next to her and others joined it as they emerged from its shadow. "Even the Link I had during our little adventure never talked, why?"
"I believe this is a sensitive topic." Fi spoke up next to the two, gently floating along the ground to stand in front of them. "My own master did not speak either but I have developed several hypothesizes I will share with you in private at another point in time more appropriate to the discussion of such a topic."
"It's an honest question." Ruto surprisingly stood up and joined Midna as her curiosity got the better of her, glancing at the two Heroes. "I've never heard my husband speak either, why?"
"I think we should all depart to our own quarters for the remainder of the night." Zelda made an attempt to calm the generals around the campfire before a throat was cleared, Fi gently turning away as the soldier sighed as he stood up.
"Link…" Zelda made an attempt to walk forward but was stopped as the Hero simply shook his head and stepped past her and up to the floating Midna. For a moment he was merely staring at the imp in front of him before he offered her a small smile.
"I don't talk to shallow bitches."
His piece said and ignoring the stunned looks of those around him, the Hero walked past her and to his tent set up towards the edge of the camp.
"What about you?" Impa turned to the Hero of Time, knowing who he was grinning at from behind the Keaton mask he wore.
"Same thing! None of us ever talk to shallow bitches!"
Ignoring the stunned looks of everyone around him, the young Hero raced off to head deeper into the camp and undoubtedly spread chaos from a dozen or so pranks.
"I tried to warn you." Zelda sighed as she sat back down. "He hates talking to shallow bitches."
AN: See? I told you it was short.
Peace.
