"Davros. My name is Davros."

The semi-comforting smile (he could never tell with the eyebrows) dropped from his face and his mouth hung open agape in horror.

Davros.

Davros.

Davros.

Why him? Why of all children that needed saving did it have to be him?

"Hello? Are you still there?"

Skaro. He just had to land on Skaro, during the Great War between the Thals and Kaleds; mentally, he cursed himself for using the randomiser again after so long. He always knew he'd meet the crippled, scarred monster that created the greatest threat in the universe again as just as he was, he was harder to kill than a Time Lord.

But not as a child!

"Please, you have to help me!"

Help? Yes, he should help, show mercy to the frightened boy before the hand mines kill him.

Except they won't.

Because Davros creates the Daleks, he wasn't certain that it was a fixed point but it was very vital to his own timeline; he encountered the Daleks too many times to his own liking.

"I said I could survive! You said you were going to help me!"

As the boy's cries increased, he bitterly noted the irony that Davros of all people was asking for help, for compassion, for pity.

For the mercy he had- or would in this case- denied so many. His own scientists in Skaro, exterminated because they were against his insane idea of conquering the galaxy, obtaining Godhood like a toy. The mercy he had denied those who came to the 'Great Healer' for guidance and medical care, only to become food for their own relatives or a Dalek; a fate worse than death. Mercy he refused to show in the Time War, wiping fleet after fleet of Time Lords, personally killing the Commander with his own hand.

Susan.

His heart burning with a newly lit fire, the Doctor did what he thought had to be done, acting purely on his emotions

The Doctor denied Davros mercy by running into his TARDIS, running away from Skaro.

"HELP ME!"
