A/N: Err . . . another go I'm having at poetry. I actually thought of this
some time ago, thinking about making it into a story, but scrapped it when
I realised that I have two stories yet to continue (not to mention finish -
I'm working on it, guys, I'm working on it!) This is rather weird - so sue
me. Actually, on second thoughts, don't. But you can review, though. Even
if it //is// to flame . . .
Disclaimer: Of course I'm JK Rowling. And hell is just a sauna. And Cornelius Fudge is having an affair with Voldemort. Not to mention the world has just stopped spinning. And also- OK, OK, I'll stop with the sarcasm now.
WARNINGS: SLASH! But not Lucius-on-Draco (for once). But there are certain (yet extremely mild) hints of it, so if incest (or SLASH) irks you, hit the back button now! Otherwise, read, enjoy, and REVIEW!
~ He Cried Inside ~
There was a kind, thoughtful boy
With fair hair that didn't have single curl
Who believed that everything was good
Until his father broke the idea of his perfect little world
*****
When he was small and his father hit him
He would always cry out in woe
But that would mean more torture
And his angelic-like innocence was torn from him long ago
*****
To the world around
He appeared cold, cruel, uncaring
But the abuse and pressure form his father
Was almost overbearing
*****
He was an insolent pest
In his father's eyes
His self-belief gradually disintegrated
But he never cried
*****
He tried to make his father proud
But he would never succeed
Because of this he felt so empty
That he took to making himself bleed
*****
But then there came
That tiny ray of light
In the form of Harry Potter
And at once he knew that he wasn't going to give up without a fight
*****
For as each day passed
He grew more and more in love
With the boy who seemed untouchable
And sent from the heavens above
*****
When he was with his father
He always cried inside
Because that was the one thing
That he could always hide
*****
And gradually his love for Harry
Grew into an obsession
He started stalking him
And if he didn't see him he'd fall into depression
*****
And one day he got cornered by //the// love of his life
He started feeling excited - could he possibly feel the same way?
"I know what you're doing, Malfoy," he spat
"And I just want you to go away!"
*****
He started protesting desperately
"But I just want to make you happy!" he said with a cry
"If you really mean that," said the Boy-Who-Lived coldly
"Then you'd just curl up and die!"
*****
This comment broke the fair-haired boy
And Draco sat in his room every single day
But no matter what he did
Harry's words just wouldn't go away
*****
So he let out the feelings
That he could not hide
That very same boy
Who cried inside.
