Hey this is my first story on fanfiction, so tell me what you think about it!
Hugo woke up gasping, he was too old to still be having nightmares he told himself jumping out of bed. He stared out of his window at the train station clock, it had been replaced since the time he had lived there. He was now living with Isabella in a London flat above his shop. A clock shop of course that he co owned, George owned the rest of it. He created mechanical robots much like the one George made, that drew the most amazing pictures. Hugo had had a vision of creating more of these, more that could do anything you wanted them to do. They could cook, they could clean, he was famous all around London and he sold many of these robots every year. He called them ISA robots, Intelligence Seeking Automatons. They would become better at what they were functioned to do as they learned from their mistakes. Hugo was now a boy of 18 and was dating Isabella, thinking about marriage. She was a great writer and often sold her works to publishers, her books were very famous and of this he was proud.
He padded downstairs and picked up the post, they were both very happy but they were missing adventure. They were bored. They had money, a roof over their heads, food but they had nothing more, their lives were dull. That was until the day of the 25th February, this is when the letter arrive addressed to one master Hugo Cabaret and sealed with red wax. He opened it and preceded to read it:
Dear Hugo,
I know your mother very well and she is in dyer need of medicine. I heard of your shop and was wondering if this meant you would have enough money to spare. She is very ill and if she does not get the attention she needs she will soon pass away. Please come soon.
Yours Faithfully.

Hugo gasped and heard Isabella's' footsteps above him, "Hugo, Hugo are you there?" She called softly. "I am," He managed to say before collapsing into a heap on the sofa. "Hugo, Hugo what is it, what's the matter?" She gasped seeing him sitting there, he handed her the letter. "I thought you said you mother died a very long time ago," Isabella questioned before sitting down next to him. He took his hand and stroked it with her thumb "Either she did not die and father said that she did to keep me from being unhappy or..."
"Or someone is trying to get your money!" exclaimed Isabella "Oh how exciting this all is, someone is trying to steal your money, now who could it be, the mafia trying to get money to buy new weapons of the..." She looked over at Hugo. "What is my mother is still alive and needs my help though, what then?" Hugo stood up and stared out the window. "How about this, we go and check out the address on this letter, see who's there and what not?" She smiled at Hugo and hugged him. "Hugo we will find out if this letter is true, and if it is how brilliant would that be, your mother alive," He couldn't help but smile back at her. He picked her up and span her round, placing her down carefully and looking into her brown eyes. "I love you," He whispered into her ear, he leaned over and kissed her. Her heart flipped and she kissed him back. "I love you to my wonderfully mysterious Hugo Cabret.
