Disclaimer- I do not own LOTR, some of the characters in the story are not
Tolkiens and if you want to use them in you stories just ask.
Authors Note- To make the Fic interesting I kept every one in Middle-Earth, that means nobody went to the Heavens.
Sevenhundred years have passed since the War of the Ring and yet again Middle-Earth lies in a veil of darkness. It all began with the death of Eldarien son of King Aragorn, during the journey to Rivendell the young prince was and killed by a band of goblins and orcs. It was then that Surion revealed him self as successor of Sauron, he forged ten rings of power and gave nine of them to greedy mortal kings of men, but he kept the last one the most powerful one.
Only a few lands have not yet been invaded by the dark army of Mordor. The few that tried to resist have fallen to the dark blades of Surions army. Yet few still fight in hope to stay alive. The lands of Gondor, Rohan and Anor are under strict control of Surion and not many are able to leave or enter the land without being killed in the process.
Lord Elrond of Rivendell himself fights against the dark armies of Mordor, he like Lord Celeborn of Lothlorien dedicated his lands as a sanctuary for those who fight against the Dark Lord or simply just try to get away from his wraith. Even the Shire folk have contributed by giving shelter to those who need it. But as the days grow old the dark army grows and the resistance weakens, the dark mist of Mordor advances destroying all in its way men fall as the leaves do when winter comes and hope slips the hearts of many.
The shadow of Mordor slowly advances destroying all in its way, yet Lord Elrond is not the only one who fights against the evil blades of Surion. The folk of the Shire have taken it upon them selves to give shelter to weary wanderers, even Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn have make the Golden Woods of Lorien a sanctuary and also King Thanduril of Mirkwood offers a place to those pure of heart
