My foot sunk into the snow easily. I shuddered and pulled my jacket a bit tighter. I was really done with the cold and the snow and every horrible thing about winter. I checked to make sure I had everything needed for work. I started my car, but glanced one time towards my neighbor's house, to see her. Maybe catch one glimpse at her soft blonde hair, or perhaps, even her beautiful grey eyes. Yes, I, Percy Jackson, was in love with my neighbor. I just can't help it though. Annabeth is the most wonderful person you will ever meet. She is sweet, kind, and totally hot. I am convinced that we are meant to be together. Of course, that would come true, if I ever had the guts to atually ask her out.

I was pulled out of my thoughts, when I heard a door slam, and Annabeth came walking out. And damn, she looked even more hot today, and that's not possible. She wore a blue full sleeve shirt, jacket and jeans. Normal, but, still awesome. Her blonde hair was tied back in a messy ponytail and she wore no makeup. She looked so cute. She noticed me staring at her, she laughed. I got out of my car and walked towards her.

"Hey, what's up?" She asked casually. I tried not to explode. And believe me, that was hard.

"I am so sick of this snow." I whinned. And to make matters worse, snowflakes slowly started swaying their way towards the ground. Annabeth just laughed. I could just imagine my face red now. We talked about how annoying the snow was and the pain of waking up and shoveling snow every weekend.

"Well, neighbor, I should get going now." She said after some time. I nodded, disappointed that our moment was over. She got on her toes and kissed my cheek gently as goodbye. Her lips hovered for a second, as if thinking of what to do next. Imagine my red face scarlet now. She smiled at me, got in her car and drove away.

I stood in her driveway, staring into space. I touched the place she kissed me. I walked home, forgetting that I had work today, I silently closed the door behind me.

From the window, I could see the snow slowly getting deeper. From inches to feet, it fell as though it had no limits.

I saw Annabeth's car come in view again, and she got out. I saw her walk to her house. She hesistated for some moments, looking confused. She searched through her purse, went back to her car, and retraced her steps multiple times.

After some time, she looked mad. Really mad. She stomped her feet. I looked on, amused.

For the second time today, she caught me staring at her. She made a hand gesture that told me she forgot the keys to her home.

I chuckled. Definetly Annabeth. I called her home and gave her hot chocolate. I took some for myself , and sat close to her.

"Percy, you really don't have to do this." She said. "I'm just really stupid. I can't believe I-"

"Annabeth, it's okay. I am thinking of not going to work myself, especially in this weather. We could have a neighbor bond time." I said.

She looked as though she wanted to argue, but I silenced her. This was the only thing I needed. Spending some time with her, getting to know her even better.

I called my boss. I wasn't going to work today.
