Prelude
.
The rain pattered down on the gloomy, grey cement as the heavens wept. Two lone figures stood hand in hand under a large black umbrella. Cloaked in black, sobs echoed through the grief laden air as the smaller shook, while the taller held her hand reassuringly. Before them were two black slats of stone, only recently positioned.
.
Slowly, the taller figure gently withdrew her hand before bending down. Tenderly removing an object from a case, she placed it into position.
.
Mournfully, the first note of Maurice Ravel's Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte rang out; beautiful grieving perfection.
.
Slowly, a young voice joined in with the melody.
.
The sorrowful song ended before a slight pause and the beginning of another. The miserable sound of Theme from Schindler's List occupied the graveyard as the figure continued playing.
.
Then the music stopped, and another started - Lacrimosa, Mozart's Requiem.
The young child once again began singing as she wept.
They continued paying respects to the dearly departed dead through their fragile, exquisite music. Letting their emotions out through music, tears ran down their faces.
Life was going to change.
