Chapter 1: Alvy

Alvy Hall was now 100 years old with great grandchildren. He always listened to the water just in case Liz tried to contact him again. His parents died of old age. They peacefully died in their sleep. He was glad that they didn't suffer and it ended quickly. He hoped that they would see Liz again and that he too would also see his sister again.

"Hey dad" a woman's voice said softly. He turned towards his daughter Sam. He lifted up his hand slowly and Sam held it lovingly. The memories popped up. Sam was 25 and it was her wedding day. She was absolutely beautiful and she was marrying the perfect guy. They all thought that her boyfriend was perfect. Nice, kind, gentle, sweet, respectful, dedicated. He was everything that he wanted for his daughter. His son was right next to his little sister smiling also. Mark, protective of his sister and family.

"Hey dad" he also said. The two of them, his own kids, had families of their own. And they now had their own grandchildren. His beautiful wife was still besides him. Everyday, he could feel himself slip away more.

"Alvy, is something wrong" his wife asked. She was 99. Alvy didn't answer. He knew it was his time to go. Both of his kids became extremely worried.

"Dad? Dad! Dad, are still with us" they asked panicking. Their voices grew fainter and eventually he couldn't hear them. He woke up on a boat. He was confused, for a little bit.

"I'm dead" he exclaimed realizing what just happened. Someone snorted above him.

"You've just realized that" a young voice asked. The man started climbing down the latter and Alvy finally saw him. The man wasn't incredibly young, but he wasn't old.

"Excuse me young man, but you do not talk to your elders that way" Alvy said gruffly.

"Sorry" the man retorted "So, you died of old age? I died from combat". Alvy nodded. Then, they heard women's voices out side their door.

"I'm Mary Jensen. What's yours" one asked.

"Alexis Mansfield. I've been here before, it's strange, but I remember" the other said. Both men opened the door to find the women outside the door across from them.

"What do you mean before" Alvy asked them.

"You live, you die, you come back here, and you age back into a baby and be reborn into the world" Mary responded. Alvy cocked his head. Mary looked a bit familiar to him. Like Lizzie almost. He did the math. His parents would be about 70 in wherever they were going's time.

"Where are we going" he asked.

"A place called Elsewhere" Alexis told him. He thought some more. Lizzie would already be back on Earth. In fact, she would be 70 years old. Mary looked at Alvy.

"You seem familiar to me. Like in a dream or vision" she said. Alvy raised an eyebrow.

"Vision" he asked.

"Mary's psychic. She can see the past, the present, and sub sequentially, the future" Alexis told him with a little laugh. The four went up to the dining room floor. A couple greeted them, kind of.

"What did you four die of" the woman asked. The four of them looked at her

"Shot in the chest" the man said.

"Cancer" Alexis said.

"Old age" Alvy said.

"Illness, I don't know what it was" Mary said. The man spoke up this time.

"How old are you four" he asked.

"68" the man said.

"67" Alexis said.

"100" Alvy grinned.

"70" Mary said. Alvy gasped in shock.
