It was midnight when she walked up to the opening in the gate. The roar of a dinosaur nearby told her it was time climb through. She quietly hid behind a house and waited a minute or two. She took a deep breath and walked from the darkness and into the light.
Two soldiers saw her and ordered her to put her hands up, she did this willingly.
One of the soldiers noticed the girl was about fourteen, she had long brown hair and her clothes, hands and face were covered in dirt. The other soldier checked for weapons and only found a knife.
"Please I need to find my father?" the girl spoke.
"Who's your father?" a soldier with dirty blond hair asked, he was probably about 5'7" and the man with him was about 6'0" and had dark skin,
"Commander Taylor, I'm Paige Taylor" the girl said.
"Take her to the brig" the taller soldier ordered. "I'll wake the Commander"
Commander Taylor arrived at the brig, the soldier had told him she called herself Paige Taylor. His daughter Paige had disappeared two months after he had banished Lucas, it was his son who had taken her during the night, he spent months searching for her and never found anything, it was like she vanished from the face of the earth.
"Get me Doctor Shannon" Taylor asked, he looked in the brig and saw the girl sitting against one of the poles, I want a DNA test to be sure this really is Paige"
"Yes sir" Taylor watched as the soldier left before entering the brig, the girl stood up and stared at him "Paige, have you been with Lucas all this time"
"Hide" Paige turned and ran behind the pole "Must hide"
"Hide from who or what?" Taylor asked.
"Lucas" Paige whispered "Must find Daddy, Lucas can't hurt Paige anymore" Taylor started to get concerned.
"Commander" Doctor Shannon stepped in the brig followed by her husband.
"Sorry for waking you up doc" Taylor told her about the girl claiming to be his daughter, Dr Shannon walked up to the girl and knelt beside her.
"Hi I'm Dr Shannon and I want to make sure you are ok?" Dr Shannon told her and showed her a small medical device.
"Paige found secrets and must tell Daddy" Paige smiled, Dr Shannon noticed the girl seemed almost child like "Paige did good"
"You did very good" Dr Shannon smiled. "How did you get here?"
"Friend dropped me off by the trees and told me to tell Daddy secrets" Paige told her.
"What's your friends name?" Dr Shannon smiled.
"Don't know his name, never seen him before" Paige told her. "Lucas brought him to the tree house and told him to watch me and I told my friend about my daddy and how Lucas took me from Terra Nova and he brought me here and told me to tell Daddy secrets"
"Curren" Jim asked Taylor.
"Maybe" Taylor replied.
"Paige is hungry, Paige not eat today" Paige told her.
"I think we can find you something" Dr Shannon smiled at the girl.
The next morning Dr Shannon reported that girl was indeed Paige Taylor, she was given a shower and new clothes and Dr Shannon wanted to give the girl another check up. Paige was healthy, a little malnourished, she had some scars on her back and arms.
"How did you get these scars" Dr Shannon asked.
"Paige was bad, Lucas hit Paige" Paige sadly told her. "Lucas did bad things to Paige"
"What kind of things" Dr Shannon asked her.
"Paige can go home" Paige asked changing the subject.
"Yes, Paige can go home" Dr Shannon smiled.
"Good Paige likes that" Paige smiled at her.
