The morning sun was as bright as ever and the skies were bluer than yesterday and that's just what Lucy loved about waking up in the morning (when she's not exhausted).
She yawned and stretched, hesitating to open her eye until she heard a faint snicker.
Her eyes shot open and she was blinded by the morning light and her vision was blurred.
She immediately felt vertigo rise up in her head and almost fell out of her bed.
"Woah there, Luce." The voice said and she immediately granted.
After blinking a few times, she saw his pink hair and the blue fur of his kitten companion.
"Natsu—" She was cut of by his pointer finger being pressed to her lips.
"Shh, Lucy. It's still early in the morning and I came here to sleep in the comfortable bed." He explains, a cheeky grin gracing his face.
"Natsu, this is MY house and that is MY bed. You have your own bed!" She yelled.
He jumped on the bed, pulling her to him and wrapping his arm around her as her body stiffens under the weight of his arm.
He looks up at her ceiling and notices a bunch of stickers in the shape of many stars and a moon and a few planets.
He sighs in contentment and absentmindedly pulls her closer.
"You really like stars, huh?" He asks.
He feels her nod and he smiles.

That night, they are sitting on her bed looking out of the window.
She's pointing out to him the different constellations that are visible to the naked eye and how each one means something to her. In return, he tells her the celestial stories that Igneel used to tell him as a child.
After a while, he rests his shoulders on the ledge and rests his cheek on his palm. He looks at her as she admires the heavenly bodies and he smiles.
"Luce." He starts.
She turns to him with a lingering sparkle in her eye. "Yes, Natsu?"
"What's a satellite?" he asks.
Lucy is confused at first but answers, "a satellite is something the government sends to space to observe other planetary bodies. Something like that."
Natsu shakes his head. "No, the other kind of satellite. The one that isn't a machine!"
"Oh! A satellite is a celestial body orbiting a planet. It's kind of like a planet's mate or something. They follow your orbit and you would change drastically with them. The moon is an example. It's attracted to the Earth. Our environment would totally change without the moon's influence, like the rising tides, etcetera." She says, knowledge flowing from her mouth.
Natsu smiles and nods. "You know what Lucy?"
"What?" She asks, still staring at the full moon.
"I'm your satellite."
She smiles and he pulls her into a hug and she thinks, Yeah, he really is.
