"Vali, Nari, time for bed!" Loki called from outside, The two raven-haired toddlers laughed running to their rooms, tripping over each other in the process. "And, time for tales." Loki added coming through the front door with a smile. "Daddy!" Nari yelled smiling his missing teeth smile running over to Loki and raising his arms eagerly so he could be picked up. Loki chuckled leaning down picking up his son and Nari made a run for their room yelling "Story time!" excitedly.
into the boys room, little posters of dragons on the wall, two beds on both sides of the wall, a small wooden dresser for their clothes with a candle light that lit up their rooms. and a window the the curtain covering it over the top. Nari pulled his fathers hair as they walked in making Loki laugh with how cute they were making Vail smile and let out a boy-ish giggle hiding his face. Vali quickly got into bed and Loki put Nari into his. "Alright boys, who wants to hear the tale when I was King of a realm?" Loki said, conjuring up a rocking chair and sitting in it with a smile. The boy's eyes widen looking at their father. "you were King of a realm daddy?" Vali said, his voice full of wonder.
Loki nodded smiling even more looking at his son, then the other whose face was in shock. "I once ruled over a place called, New York. With a race called humans." Loki waved a hand. "But, there were people who didn't want me to rule for whatever reason. I had an Army and everything, Once i got my hands on the tesseract i was unstoppable." By this time Vali and Nari got out of their beds and ran over to sit in Loki's lap. Loki smiled hugging his boys and continued. "And guess what else?" Loki asked looking at both boys. "I got slammed into the ground repeatedly."
Vali and Nari both laughed at the image of their father being tossed like a rag-doll. "Daddy got tossed around!" Nari said laughing and smiling looking up at his father which made Loki laugh. "You got tossed around." He countered playfully with a smile standing up holding both of them and spinning them around until they squealed. laying them down Loki started tickling them which only made them laugh even more and making Loki laugh. Loki stopped and the boy's catched their breath smiling, starting to get sleepy now.
Loki picked a already sleeping Vali putting him in his bed and kissed his head with a smile. Then he went over to Nari who snuggled under his blanket and smiled up at Loki. Loki smiled back and kissed the top of his head as well whispering his good nights. Soon both boys fell asleep and Loki looked at his sons who were the spitting image of him. Vali had green eyes while Nari had blue eyes, their skin pale and smooth, button noses, straight black-hair like their father with a slight hint of brown from their mother, chubby rosy cheeks that would smooth out over time as they grew. Loki sighed a bit, it wasnt easy being a single father. He longed for a companion no matter how much he tried to deny it. But for now, Loki was happy with his two boys.
