"Hey, Carter! You coming for Dare tonight? If you are, I'll help get you dressed up?"
"Sure, I'll come, thanks Abby." We walked back to my dorm and I shut the door.
A few hours later, I was dressed in a turquoise dress, black leggings and boots, completed with a black leather jacket. Abby knocked on the door eagerly, calling me out. She was dressed exactly the same as me. We squealed in unison. IT WAS DARE! Before I knew it, we had hailed a taxi and on our way to the train station.
"Hey! Carter, Abby, didn't think you'd be coming!" Lauren laughed as we jumped off the train. "Dare… or Dare?" Before I could answer, Abby shouted "DARE!"
Lauren said mischievously, "Stand right next to 5 exploding coke bottles."
"No way!" protested Abby, "This dress is brand new! Oh, fine."
We watched as she stood in the ring of coke bottles.
"3! 2! 1!" We counted down. Then...
FIZZ! Coke exploded all over her.
"Ugh! I am drenched!" Laughter filled the hall. "Alright. I dare Jake to jump onto the train and, just wearing boxers and shoes, shout, 'I am the Master!'
"Seriously!" complained Jake, "I'll do it but if…" He left the threat hanging.
He jumped onto the train and screamed the sentence. "Can I get changed now?"
"KC, I dare you to take off one item of clothing- not socks or shoes!"
She did it in seconds, pulling off her t-shirt without hesitation.
"Matt, I dare you to do the cinnamon challenge."
Great. Hopefully he'll still be able to kiss me, hope his throat isn't too dry. Oh, by the way, Matt is my boyfriend. Just to get things cleared up.
"Need a spoon?" I asked sweetly, "Here you-"
"Thanks Carter, but I have one- Lauren gave me one."
I smile, annoyed. Lauren is Matt's ex. He dumped her for me so… Lauren and I hate each other as a result of that. Sad. We used to be best friends but yeah. That all changed…
I look up to see a spoonful of ground cinnamon hovering over his mouth. Then, I remember that Matt is allergic to spice so I shout, "Stop!" He does.
"You're allergic, right? They isn't a rule about swapping dares, so I'll do it."
I snatch the spoon away, and pour the spice into my mouth. The pain is intense.
"What?! You mixed chilli with the cinnamon! You knew I was allergic to chilli!" I scowl, the pain agonising.
"Here," Matt hands me a spoonful of pain medicine. I gulp it down, grateful.
"Matt, this is the last dare so EVERYONE must do it."
"Ok. I dare everyone to- putting a net down, obviously- jump off the tallest building in the city."
We pulled ourselves up the stairs, and prepared to jump.
"Aaaaaagggggh!" I pummelled into the net. That was amazing!
"Yeah! That was epic," Everyone laughed.
"That's all for tonight!" said Lauren brightly, "Goodnight guys! Truth or Dare is now over!"
