Ryan watched the new girl in homeroom. Her dark hair fell in soft curls around her face. He turned to say something to a friend. He turned back not even a minute later, and she was gone.
I turn around, you're there again,
And suddenly you're gone.
"Who was that?" Ryan asked Sharpay. She shrugged.
I want to get to know you
But I don't know who you are
He looked for her everywhere, but found her nowhere. He was going to go insane because of her.

He'd seen her before. He'd seen her with Troy at the movies. At the coffee shop. He'd seen her pretty much everywhere. But he's never spoken to her.

Finally, a week later, Ryan caught up to the girl.
Finally, he got his chance to ask.

"Gabriella," she said, then turned back to Troy.
Ryan watched as she walked away.
"I was right. I do love her."
