This is a short one-shot Trory story. Hope you like it :D

He yelled. She yelled. Then a kiss.

THE KISS

She touched the sides of her mouth, the kiss still hot on her lips, still very much unbelievable, as she sat there for the very first time in her life, really emotionally dumbfound. Had that actually happened or was it a figment of her imagination. She had fantasied about this moment so many times since she had started attending Chilton.

She was flabbergasted, what the hell was going on?

She was still left reeling, as she watched him crack jokes with his usual crowd, throwing back his head totally amused with laughter that danced around his eyes. He didn't even realise that she hadn't moved from her spot in the corner of the quadrant or that her meal had yet to be touched.

What was he really playing at?

He stole glances at her at every chance he had. She was still sitting in that same position. Now what was up with that? He couldn't fathom that his kiss had thrown her back like that. No way! She absolutely hated him. Right?

He pretended to find the joke his friend had made to be funnier than it really was, hoping his acting skills proved to be as good as when he needed them most. He was pretty good at pretending to be something that he was clearly not. Everything else was a ploy to really get unnoticed from the real things that he kept buried deep inside. His true emotions and instability with his life.

Only she seemed to notice the fabrication that lay behind his eyes. Why was that exactly?

He watched on as she brought her hand to her lips once again. Wow she WAS still thinking of it, like he was. His wanted to kiss her from the moment he had seen her. Why else would he act the way he did towards her?

The bell rang and she threw her wasted lunch in a heap in the bin, she placed her tray in the appropriate holding place and walked to her next class. Only to suddenly feel lightness in her hands, as her books suddenly vacated her grasp. She was surprised to see him standing so close once again, now apparently holding her books, and his usual smirk radiating from his beloved handsome face.

Her words chocked in her mouth as he took hold of her hand in the other. A couple of glances were thrown their way, which the two didn't take any notice of, still locked and lost in one another's eyes, until they had to let it go to sit in their perspective seats.

"You have a free period today class! Your normal teacher was called away to an emergency, and you have now been asked to file into the library for study sessions or group study out in the quad" with that the teacher walked out of the classroom probably headed across the hall to his own classroom.

A lot of 'woohoos' and 'right on' 'ohh yeah, free period' and whatever clatter someone else would come up with, none as original as the last. Everyone filed off to their perspective destinations, leaving the two still quiet, words lost in thoughts.

'What's up with you two bumble bees? Not so used to seeing you so quiet, and furthermore, holding hands. Like wow! When did that happen?' a curious Louise and Stephanie was waiting behind them, still in their seats, passing glances back and forth.

The couple heard nothing, and stood up, hands back to their original state, hands on hands, walking mindlessly towards the classroom door, walking down the hallways, just being happy in each other's company.

A lot of whispers happened in the next couple of weeks as they began to die down and another scandal took place, and the corridors again swam with rumours about this and that. The oblivious couple were too engrossed in each other to care about the nonessential happenings within the school.
