A/N: Once upon a time, I wanted to write a Harry Potter fanfiction. My brain gave me this. So I wrote it down. It might or might not be continued. Depends on if yall like it and review. And I'm not J.K. Rowling. And I can't think of a name, sorry.

I had heard the rumors about the new sixth year at Hogwarts, but I wasn't sure I believed them. What were the possibilities of a girl joining Hogwarts at sixteen? That kind of stuff just doesn't happen. Students are always making up ridiculous rumors to keep people awake, anyways. Just in the past month, I've heard about a giant flesh eating plant in the Ravenclaw Common Room, I've heard that Boggarts had escaped and were all over Hogwarts waiting to jump out and terrify students passing by, and I've heard that Professor Dumbledore had grown a third eye, just because he hadn't been seen in a week. They had all proven to be false within the week. So when I heard about a new girl, I ignored it.

I'd just gotten back to my Potions essay for Professor Slughorn (it was on Veritaserum. Slughorn adores me, and expected my absolute best work) when I heard a commotion at the portrait hole. I looked up and saw a crowd of people hovering around the Fat Lady. The crowd slowly parted and Professor McGonagall escorted a girl into the Common Room. The girl was petite with curly dark brown hair. She wore khaki pants with a sky blue shirt that matched her eyes perfectly. I had never seen this girl, and that bothered me because I was a prefect and, therefore, had at least seen every Gryffindor student before. I also had an excellent memory and I was sure I'd never seen her before.

McGonagall cleared her throat. "Excuse me, this is Carmen and Nymphadora Tonks," she said as a smaller girl stepped out from behind Carmen. "They're new to Hogwarts and have been sorted into Gryffindor. If they need your help, I expect you to help them without a second thought." She turned to Carmen, "Miss Tonks, both of you will find your room up that staircase to the left." Then McGonagall turn towards me, "Miss Evans, please help Miss Tonks and her sister get settled in." And with that, McGonagall left.

A/N: If you like, review! And anonymous reviews are great. Just like normal ones! :)
