H peoples, this is a Carrie/THG crossover. And sadly I do not own Carrie or THG. This is my intake of Katniss having telekinetic powers.

Katniss Everdeen POV

My arm reached across the bed, seeking for Prim's warmth. My arms wrapped around her tiny body. I hugged her tight. She was the only reason why I wasn't in the insane asylum right now. Or committed suicide. This girl needs me. I need to save her from our mentally-ill mother who is a religious fundamentalist. And see the word mental in fundaMENTAList? But I still love her. We need a parent figure in our lives since our dad died in the mines a few years ago.

That's when it hit me. Today is Reaping Day.

"Prim, wake up." she immediately woke up with fear in her eyes. Usually white girls like her at twelve years of age like to sleep in during Saturdays, but Prim is different. Since she was three years old, she learned to become afraid of our mother.

She quickly took a quick shower in our little stall. We would have showered together, but mother believes that taking showers with the same sex is a sin.

After showering, Prim placed on blue robes and white leather shoes. Even though the dress is old fashioned, the light blue complimented her golden blond hair and sapphire blue eyes.

I put on a gray puritanical outfit with a skirt that reached my ankles. I slowly spun around, the skirt billowing. The outfit made my dull-gray eyes even brighter. Then I pulled back my wavy brown hair with an elastic band.

Once went downstairs, mother forced us to do our morning prayers in the prayer closet. Inside the closet was a small wooden table, kneeler, a crucifix, a small clock, some candles, and a little prayer sheet. We said a few Our Father's and a few Hail Mary's.

After we were done, mother served us flaky/crusty bread with water. Our mother, Margaret Everdeen, said that Jesus only feasted on bread and water, nothing else. We could only eat fish on Christmas or during Spring time.

Prim pushed her plate of stale bread away.

"Mother, kids are making fun of me again."

I sighed. So were the kids in my grade.

"I want to be like the other girls. I am tired of living this way. I don't like it." Once Prim finished her words, mother smacked her in the face with her bible. Prim collapsed onto the floor.

I screamed.

A glass of water slammed against the wall, but mother ignored it.

"How dare you insult the Lord! Go into the closet right now!" Margaret sneered.

"Come on, Prim. We have to go to the Reapings." I said quickly. I helped her up.

"Both of you, go into the closet. Now." Mother said calmly.

"We're late for the Reapings." I snapped.

We were late... And I hated being late. All of the girls in my year are here. They hate me. Never liked me. I struggled in my place during high school.

"For the female tribute... Primrose Everdeen!" Effie Trinket shrilled.

Once I heard that name, worry and fear burst from my mind. An invisible force knocked the glass ball to the ground, but Effie simply didn't care. Capitol workers didn't have to do all the dirty work.

"I volunteer!" I screamed.

My sister screeched as Peacekeepers took her away.

"Oh, goody! A volunteer? Exciting! But now we need the male tribute. And it is... Peeta Mellark!"

"You better take care of Prim while I am gone. If I found out that you harmed Prim in any way, there will be consequences. That is, if I win. Feed her. Don't send her to the closet not when I am here."

"I do as God pleases," she laughed.

She quickly took Prim out.

As the door closed, an invisible force created a huge slash mark on the door.
