Chapter 1

The Baby

Godric's Hollow looked like any other house on the street-- large, and brick with a front yard. Unlike all the other houses on the street it's inhabitants were dead, killed only moments before by Voldemort, all except the baby Harry Potter who was screaming loudly enough to draw the attention of the girl walking down the sidewalk on her way home. The girl looked at the house, looked away, and then looked at the house again. That house wasn't there before. I don't remember anyone on the street having a baby, maybe I should go see what is wrong… She thought as she started up the walkway to Godric's Hollow and knocked on the door. As she knocked the door swung open, almost inviting her inside, so she took the invitation. In the hall was the body of James Potter, with a look of fear on his face. The girl went up the stairs towards where the baby was screaming and when she got to the nursery she saw the body of Lily Potter lying on the ground next to the crib that held the screaming baby. The baby had emerald green eyes, black hair, and a lightning bolt shaped scab on his forehead. Suddenly the girls cell phone rang loudly. "Hello." she answered. "Alex, found the place you said all that evil disappeared from, guess what. There is a BABY here I think it killed the body, except there is NO body. I'm gonna bring the baby home with me. Yes I know that I will have to live with the mortals 'til he's grown but he's sooo cute and… Thank you; see you in a few minutes. I think someone is coming." The girl reached down and picked up the baby as his stuff started flying into her purse. Once she had everything she disappeared, just as Sirius black came through the door to the nursery.

Later that night, in a place where time has no real hold, the girl sits in a manor holding the baby. "Neasa would you please tell me why you decided to adopt the baby that is so inherently light." Asked a man who glided into the room.

"Alex, he was crying and he would have been placed in a horrible home. Dis-goddaughter me if you want, but I am going to keep this baby and raise him"
