AN: For the Great Maze Challenge. My prompt was "Long hair, fang earring. So glad he never cut it. Let him take you on an adventure, and maybe he'll stay with you on that adventure."

Fleur clutched Bill's arm tightly.

She had been having a very strange day. It had started with her husband arriving at her recently opened boutique, telling her assistants that there was an emergency, and whisking her away from her patterns and fabric. Bill had then informed her that he was taking her on an adventure, that she was not supposed to ask questions, and that she had to wear a blindfold.

From that point forward, she had been led down various streets, through buildings, onto trains, off of trains, into a car, out of a car, and through various other locations, all while wearing a blindfold, until she had completely lost her bearings.

Now, Bill was leading her up a staircase. She clung to his arm, relying on him to keep her from tripping and falling.

"Almost there," he said. She heard the sound of a key turning in a lock and a door opening. They took a few steps forward, and then the door swung shut behind them.

"Are we here?" asked Fleur.

"Yes, we're here," said Bill. "You can take off the blindfold now."

Fleur's hands flew to her head. Eagerly, she pulled off the blindfold and opened her eyes.

She found herself standing in the middle of a large, beautiful bedroom, with a high ceiling, huge, sparkling windows, and lilac-colored walls. The shelves, dresser, and bedside table were all ornamented with candles and small vases of flowers. Outside of the window, a large, glittering lake was visible, mountains rising in the distance.

"Oh, Bill!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around him. "Eet ees beautiful!"

"You like it?" said Bill, smiling.

"Of course!" she exclaimed. "But what ees the occasion?"

Bill kissed her on the forehead. "I want our marriage to be full of surprises," he said. "An adventure."

"As long as you stay with me on ze adventure," said Fleur, resting her head on his shoulder, "that ees fine with me."

"Of course," said Bill, gently stroking her hair. "I wouldn't dream of anything else."

Fleur closed her eyes, breathing in the scent of him.

She had never thought of herself as someone who would enjoy adventures, but this one wasn't too bad.

In fact, it wasn't bad at all.
