A/N: Ok, so, this is my very, very, very, very, first fanfic EVER, so please be kind. And I know that some people have done this before but I promise that I am not trying at all to copy them. OH, and by the way, this is set shortly after City of Ashes. All right, enough of my nonstop babble, read onward!

Clary's POV

Now who would come here at 6:30 in the morning? I thought as I made my way downstairs to get the door. I was dreaming about how sad it is that Jace just wants to be my brother when I woke up because of a sudden knock on the door. I opened the door to find three books with a note attached to the first one that said:

These are three books about you and your friends' lives. The first two are your past and the third is your future.

Then one the back it said:

Read them in order.

I was so curious to get everyone together to start reading that I send them all a text saying to meet me at Luke's house at 7:30.

When everyone arrived, we sat in Luke's living room. Everyone was wondering why we were all meeting at this early hour, so I said, "Ok, so, this morning, someone knocked on the door. When I opened the door, there were three books laying there with this note." I handed Izzy the note and she handed it to everyone else after she read it.

"So, can we just read the third one to find out what happens in our future?" Jace asked.

I showed him the back of the note.

"Well what do you think will happen if we read the last one?"

"I don't know but I think we should start from the beginning anyway."

"Fine."

I got the first book called City of Bones out.

"Ok, who wants to read first?"

To my surprise, Jace said, "I guess I can."

"Ok."

I handed the book to him and he was about to open the book when he looked at the book cover and said "Why is my naked chest on the cover of this book?" then as an afterthought, "Not that I'm complaining or anything."

All of us snickered as he opened the book.
