The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of The Fierce Deity
CHAPTER I
Link's ESSANCE
Hyrule, a land of peace and tranquility, will soon become a battlefield of not two armies, but of one man, and himself.
"Listen, hero, you won't overcome me. You will fail all who you tried to protect. You will die." Said a tall, slender figure standing directly in front of the Hero of Time. "No, you listen. The evil that circulates within you will burn out. You will be destroyed and forgotten, just like Ganon!" The Hero responded. The two charged at each other, tearing each other apart with each blow. The Hero was Link, the man known to banish Ganon from this world. Near him was nothing but the raging, endless fires sparked by anger and confusion, good and evil, a man and his sword. The tall slender man had markings all over his armor, which only covered his chest. He wore only white and black, and spoke not a word until the end. Then, the two took one final charge, raging with fury. Suddenly, Link's vision grew blurred, he couldn't feel any pain, or anything else for that matter. He couldn't scream, nor he could breath. Thoughts ran through his head; "How, how did this start?" "Where is Zelda? Why am I like this?" He collapsed to the dirt, the hot searing dirt, and let out the last breath that the hero would ever draw. "Good Bye, Hero of Time." The man said. He then took his sword from Link's torso, and left him there, to rot away, forever.
Feeling joyous and excited, Saria came to Link's tree hut, only to greet the slumbering Hero. It has been months since the fall of Ganon, and Saria couldn't be happier to have the hero back at Kokiri Forest once again. She climbed the tree's ladder and burst into the room. Link, being extremely tiered of his last journey, was fast asleep in his cot. Saria leaped onto the cot and awoke Link from his slumber. Just as excited as she was, he hopped out of bed and put on his Green Tunic. "Hi Link! How are ya?" Saria asked. Link responded tiredly "I am great Saria." Saria was the Green- haired Kokiri who was Link's best, and only, friend in Kokiri Forest. "How is the new Deku Tree sprouting?" asked Link. "Just fine, he is almost as tall as the old Deku Tree." Saria exclaimed happily. "Want to go get some food?" "Sure" "Lets go then!" And the two went off, unaware that Link's new adventure was about to unfold.
