Wow, it's been a heck of a while since I last wrote any FF! I'm sorry for that. Inception really amazed me and the scene where Mal kills herself really got to me, it even made me cry. So I've written a very short one-shot of how Dom may have felt and how he would've reacted.

She jumped and there was nothing Dom could do but scream. Pain racked every inch of his body, guilt ran through his veins and stabbed at his heart. He remained stationary on the ledge, the wind caressing his hunched back as if it were holding him. He thought for a second of following, jumping into the abyss, into the darkness and joining Mal wherever she now was. Dom blinked tears from his vision and refrained from looking down. He pulled himself together, mentally and physically. Pulling himself back through to the room, he caught sense of reality and remembered his children. Phillipa and James. He sank to the floor, his head buried in his hands and he wept. He cried silently for the sake of his children.
Guilt pressed into him like he was being slowly suffocated, he thought of nothing but felt everything. How could he escape? Dom was jerked back into reality as he heard a wailing of sirens outside and realised he had spent the best part of five minutes lying on the floor. If what Mal said was true, Dom had to run. And he did run. His legs felt heavy like lead, but they moved as quick as lightning. His face was stained by tears, all colour drained from his face. He couldn't go back now, not now. Mal's face was etched inside his mind no matter how many times he blinked or how many times he scratched at his face to rid the last memory of her from his focus. Her deranged face, eyes wide and fearful, though rather content as she believed she would return to reality when she hit the bottom…
Dom tried to run but his legs buckled, he slumped on the staircase and breathed heavily realising the cruel, harsh reality of what he had told Mal. And Dom realised that this wasn't the end of his discovery. This wasn't the end for inception.
