Title: Someone Help Me
Summary: Everyone is keeping a secret from Lizzie. When Lizzie realizes this, how far will she go to know what her peers do?
Chapter 1: Lie Number One
Lizzie McGuire walked down the halls of Hillridge High School, just a week before her 15th birthday. She couldn't wait for that day, because just one year later she would be able to drive. Well, with a licensed adult in the car. But still, she anticipated the moment she could get behind the wheel of a car and take off, not knowing where she would be going, or when she would be back.
Lizzie arrived at her locker next to Miranda's and started spinning the dial. Once she reached all three numbers and pulled her locker open, she looked for Miranda down the hall. What she saw was not what she wanted to see.
As her eyes wandered down the crowded hallway, Lizzie saw Miranda talking with Kate in hushed voices. She couldn't hear from where she was standing, so Lizzie collected her books and wandered over to where Kate and Miranda resided.
"Hey Randa!" Lizzie greeted as she walked up to her best friend. Miranda looked at Lizzie as though she had been caught reading her diary. Miranda's eyes went wide as she muttered a response.
"Hey Liz, yeah, umm, me and Kate were just, you know . . ." Miranda studdered, but before she could finish her sentence, Lizzie pulled her away from Kate's locker and back to her own.
"What the hell were you doing at Kate's locker? And talking to Kate?!" Lizzie demanded while re-opening her locker, as she realized she had forgotten a book. Miranda did not answer. Lizzie glared at her as she spun the dial to her own locker to retreive her booke. "Well?"
"She umm, she took my pocketbook. And I was trying to get it back." Miranda lied. She looked away from Lizzie and into her locker. She couldn't tell Lizzie the truth, it would ruin everything.
Lizzie nodded to Miranda, then the two walked off to class, not even waiting for Gordo to get to his locker.
