Cassiel's POV & Intro

The sky was looking red as the sun set, and the autumn leaves blew on the tired old tree. Every footstep that Cassiel took was heavy, and lingered with sadness. Why did they choose me? The wind swept his hair over his green eyes; he just kept staring at the tree. The tree was lined with lines, it was very clear that it was very very old. The words kept coming back to the young man; "you will find the gem and take it to the fountain of Hope. You will give this world a second chance. You can do it". But right now, he doubted his ability to do a small thing never mind being thrown into a different dimension and ordered to fulfil God's wish. The idea made him sick with anxiety. I can't do it. He knew what happened to Angels that disobeyed God's plan. God made the ultimate decision; Angels just merely performed their job. They had to. There was no choice. They existed for the sole aim of doing what God wanted. And Cassiel was chosen to save planet Earth.

Xathan's POV & Intro

With a swift gesture of dismissal the demon was ushered to leave. He smiled to himself smugly. He was the chosen one. On one hand he wore an emerald ring and on the other a sapphire one. He remembered what his Master said, 'As soon as the time comes, you will take the gem and you lay these two rings, one on each side.' He knew what he was doing, and he was proud. Before he left the Master's chamber, He called him one final last time.

'Xathan!'

The demon turned in surprise; he was too lost in his thoughts of being chosen that he had not heard Master calling him the first time.

'Sorry Master, what is it that you called me for?'

'You almost forgot to take this,'- Satan held a thin crumpled envelope to which a note was attached to. Xathan took it from him and stared at it, clearly confused at what he was holding. He had lived in Hell for nearly all his life and he had never seen something like that before.

'That, is very important and you mustn't lose it'

Xathan nodded and smiled at his Master before bowing and leaving the room.
