Prologue
The sound of screaming crashed through the roads of the titanic city of las Pegasus, as if begging for trouble to brew. The air, once crisp, was laced with the chemicals that powered the city. An ugly scene for the musical sensations that had started in Ponyville to perform, but hey, it was a life. Dj PON-3 stepped onto the stage, oblivious that this was her last performance.
"Hello Las Pegasus!" Vinyl Scratch said, waving to the crowd. "This is the last performance of our tour across Equestria, so shut your mouth and open your ears! This is Dj PON-3's: do the navigator!"
She stepped up to her APC-40, Maschine, Push, Bass Station, Venom, and her laptop with the famous 600 bit costing Abelton Live 9 Suite and started playing the song that, three weeks ago; Big Mac had been forced to dance to in the Ponyville festival, accidentally causing the biggest dance craze in Ponyville.
In the audience, a cloaked figure smiled.
After the song, as the performers bowed, the sky got dark, and a buzzing sound crawled through the air.
All of the audience, along with Dj PON-3, was declared missing after that performance, along with a large chunk of the Las Pegasus population.
By the time Princess Celestia got there, it was too late.
The ground in the city was a mucky green, with bubbles full of things that were obviously changeling babies, with no horns, and their wings not tattered. Cute, if you forgot their destructive habits, hunger for love, and their ability to morph into anypony's visage.
"Oh, no," Princess Celestia muttered to the guards who drove her chariot.
"If this happened to a city like Las Pegasus in a day, how long will it take to reach Ponyville?"
"That is the nearest city."
