Ring, ring! Ring, ring! Ring, ring!
Hermione awoke.
Ring, ring! Ring, ring! Ring, ring!
Her eyes snapped open at the sound of the telephone.
Ring, ring! Ring, ring! Ring, ring!
Hermione dashed out of bed, thumping her leg against the door. Hermione hobbled over to the phone.
"Hello?" Hermione said sleepily, rubbing her eyes.
"Hermione! It's me Ron! I've called three times, were you asleep?" Ron replied.
"What time is it?" Hermione asked, flattening down her hair.
"11am! Don't you remember you said you would meet me at 'Wedding Love'? Today! At 11:30am?"
"Sorry, Ron!" Hermione blundered, confused.
"Just, don't be late! Ruby finds it so rude, and so do I!"
"Who's Ruby?" Hermione asked suspiciously.
She heard the dialling tone ring into her ears.
Hermione slammed the phone down and crawled over to her wardrobe.
She pulled out a pink bra and knickers, and tugged on a pink vest. She picked out a pair of skinny jeans and sleepily fitted them on. She wet her hair slightly and dried it, then, fastened it into two plaits, one on each side.
Hermione gazed in the mirror of her bathroom, frowning. 'I wish I looked prettier!' Hermione thought to herself.
She fastened on her watch and dashed out the door.
"Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?" Ron said repeatedly to himself. Ron checked his watch over and over again.
"Oh, don't worry, honey! She'll probably be here soon," Ruby reassured Ron.
"I hope so, I really hope so!" he said.
"Hiya!" Ron heard a voice shout behind him.
"Hermione, where have you been?" Ron shrieked.
"Well, she's here now, that's all that matters, Ron, darling. Hi! I'm Ruby Herring, Ron's fiancé," Ruby said, shaking Hermione's hand.
"Ur... hi. Where's the shop?" Hermione asked.
"It's just round the corner," Ron replied, motioning where they would have to go.
They began to walk. Hermione a few paces behind Ron and Ruby.
They held each other's hand. Hermione felt jealous. She wanted to be Ruby. She wanted to hold Ron's hand. She wanted to be the one marring Ron. Hermione looked down at her feet and followed glumly behind the couple.
They soon arrived at Wedding Love. They all piled into the shop, where they met Mr and Mrs Weasley and Mr and Mrs Herring.
"Hello, my dears! And you must be Hermione Granger! How lovely to meet you! I'm Mrs Herring, Ruby's mother!" Mrs Herring said kindly, kissing her cheek.
"Hi, nice to meet you!" Hermione said politely.
"Are you waiting to be served?" said a short, thin lady behind a counter, wearing glasses, her hair styled in a tight bun.
"Um... yes! I am Ron Weasley, and this is my fiancé, Ruby," Ron said confidently.
"Sharon! Sharon!" the lady called.
"What is it?" someone replied.
"We have customers!"
Suddenly, a beautiful, slim lady appeared from behind a door.
"Hello! I'm Sharon; I'll be your server today! How can I help you?" the lady said sweetly.
"Hi, my fiancé and I are looking for some appropriate clothing for our wedding, do you have any wedding gowns?" Ron said, smiling.
"Of course! Wedding gowns are our speciality!"
The lady led us into a large room, full of racks of clothes and gowns and dresses.
Ruby started to look through the rack of clothes, and so did Ron. Hermione just sat sadly on a chair, watching her Hogwarts crush prepare for his wedding.
