Throughout his entire life Ronald Weasley had an unfortunate tendency of being late starting from the moment he was born: ten days after the due day and Molly had to be induced. When he was little he tended to be sleep in a lot and come down late for breakfast causing him to not have much food since he had five older brothers. In his and Harry's first year the two of them were late to their first Transfiguration class and thorougly annoyed Professor McGonagall. Of course there was the infamous time in second year when Harry and Ron were late for the Hogwarts Express, no thanks to Dobby, and crashed the car into the Womping Willow. He was late or slow in figuring out Harry had not put his name in the Goblet of Fire, asking Hermione to the Yule Ball, and figuring out his feelings for Hermione. Unfortunately this tendency of being late continued on past his Hogwarts days causing him to be late for many dates with Hermione, a couple family weddings, and his first day of work at the ministry when he briefly worked as an auror.
Today though was the worst possible day he could be late: his wedding day. Since he and Hermione had gotten engaged Ron had gotten better about being on time to things. However today he had forgotten to set an alarm so he had overslept and since Mrs. Weasley was too busy running around helping with last minute decorations. Charlie was supposed to be arriving sometime that morning and Bill and Fleur probably wouldn't arrive until right before the wedding since they had young children. That left Arthur, Percy, George, Harry, and a couple of cousins to set up the marquee. They had all figured Ron would be getting up and getting ready on his own he was in his mid twenties now after all.
The time came for Hermione to walk down the aisle while the Weasleys minus Ginny, who was with Hermione, and Ron, obviously, were running around looking for the missing groom. Coincidentally the groom had only woken up a half hour ago and was getting ready. Ten minutes into when the ceremony was supposed to start Ron showed up at the marquee. Mrs. Weasley glared at him before ushering him and Harry to the top of the aisle and signalling to the bridesmaids and bride that they were ready. Hermione faked a bright smile as she walked down the aisle with her father more pissed than she had ever been at her soon to be husband.
"You look gorgeous," Ron whispered smiling uneasily at his bride only to receive a cold glare very similar to his mother's in return.
"I can't believe you were late on your wedding day," Hermione hissed in his ear before turning to face the minister so he could perform the ceremony. By the end of the ceremony she was in a slightly better mood and once again genuinly smiling during the photos.
Thinking she was in a better mood and it was safe to make a joke about it during their first dance Ron joked, "At least I remembered it was our wedding day."
Hermione still quite pissed about it stomped on his foot harshly, faking a smile at the wedding guests watching them dance, and hissing in his ear, "If you are ever late again I won't think twice before jinxing and cursing you repeatedly."
