Punk was running to his dressing room, tears spilling down his face. How could she? What did I do to deserve this? AJ Lee, someone who he had a crush on for a while, had just kissed her ex Daniel Bryan right in front of him and the entire WWE Universe. Punk bolted through the door to his dressing room, slammed the door shut, slid down the door, took a deep breath and cried his broken heart out. Punk hadn't cried this hard since he won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in 2008. He felt like AJ had taken his heart and ripped it to pieces.
After about five minutes of crying, his phone rang. Punk reached for it and saw the ID: it was his friend Alisa Martinez. Punk answered it "Hello?" he said sadly. "Punk! Oh my Goodness, I just saw what AJ did. I'm so sorry love!" Punk cried again at the mention of it. "I- I really liked her Ali. I honest...ly thought she l-liked me too." he said through his sobs. Alisa didn't know what to say so she just let Punk cry, she hadn't heard him cry that hard since 2008. Alisa hated how AJ took someone who was very open with her and just betrayed them like that. AJ better thank her lucky stars that she didn't work for the WWE or she'd be dead. After about three minutes, Punk asked "What am I going to do?" Ali replied "I don't know babe. You can come over to my house if you want." Punk sniffled and said "Can I please? I really need someone to talk to right now." "Sure. I'll be in town all week." said Alisa. "Oh thank you so much Alisa! You're such a great friend!" Punk cried. "Anytime. So when will you be here?" "Well, since I'm no longer wanted here..." Punk stopped for a minute then continued "Can you pick me up at the arena?" "Sure! I'll be there in about ten minutes." Alisa said. "Alright. I'll wait for you outside. See you then." "Alright, see you then." Punk hung up. He was so lucky to have people like Alisa, his sisters and his cousin Camilla in his life. As Punk began to pack his belongings, he thought about AJ. The more he thought about her, the more he cried. Punk finished packing and left his dressing room to meet Alisa. As he walked past a monitor, he saw a recap of Daniel and AJ kissing. His heart broke all over again.
Alisa pulled up to the arena and Punk came running out. She got out of the car and embraced her friend of the last nine years. "I'm so sorry sweetheart. She didn't deserve you anyway." Alisa said. Punk just cried into his friend's shoulder. All the bad breakups in the world couldn't have prepared Punk for what would've happened that night. AJ had broken his heart, probably beyond repair.
