Authoress' note: Random thingie that popped into my head one night. What if Ienzo, before the whole heartless junk started, had bought flowers from the flower lady, Aerith? In FFVII she sells flowers in the slums…so I thought it'd be nice if she also sells flowers in Radiant Garden. Also….from some research I did, a Yellow Acacia symbolizes secret love. How sweet!

Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts at all DX It's owned by Square 'n Disney.

Yellow Acacia

It was one of those days.

One of those days that Ienzo liked to take a break from the lessons to stroll around the marketplace of Radiant Garden.

And like in every one of those days, he'd search for Aerith, the lady who sells fresh flowers. Ienzo hated to admit, but he absolutely adored flowers. Each one had a meaning, such as the rose. He always thought of buying one from her only to give it back. Yes, the young man had fallen in love with the flower girl. It wasn't love at first sight, but from their conversations both had gotten to know each other

Aerith, a girl apparently in her late-teens, was standing outside of a store, like always, selling her flowers for the small profit she'd obtain. If Ienzo remembered correctly, the price that the flower girl had set was 5 munny per flower, any one. The last one he bought was a white lily.

Ienzo walked over to Aerith, greeting her with a smile. Aerith returned the greeting.

"Mr Ienzo, how are things at the castle?" she asked, holding the basket full of flowers in her arm while being careful not to drop any on the ground. Ienzo shook his head. "No need to be so formal, Aerith. Things are going well, same thing as always." The young man replied.

Aerith smiled. "Oh, really? That's good to know."

Ienzo glanced at the basket of flowers, examining each one. "So Aerith…could you tell me what flowers you have today?" he asked politely.

"I have…a couple of red carnations, a few daisies, forget-me-nots, lily of the valley, and a yellow acacia" Aerith replied, delicately looking through the flowers in the wooden basket.

Giving it some thought into the meanings, Ienzo made up his mind. "I think I'll take the yellow acacia today"

"Really?" the girl replied, followed by a small giggle, "what does the flower symbolize?"

Ienzo couldn't avoid blushing. Just merely saying the meaning of the plant would tell Aerith of his feelings. He took a minute to relax, and finally spoke.

"Yellow Acacias stand for secret loves"

"Oh! …Who's it for?" the girl pressed on, curious with the boy's response.

"For you"
