The following takes place after the last story "Facing Darkness With Their Hearts."

A few months after the McCormicks were arrested for illegal drug manufacturing things improved at their household.
They got running water so they along with their kids could have baths. They also had a new toilet installed.
Karen McCormick was happy and she asked both her brothers to join her in her room for a conversation. Her brothers had promised to have a conversation with her at 6PM.
At 5:45 PM Stan and Kyle came to the McCormick's front door to let Kenny know they were going out for burgers and fries. Kenny told them he would have to pass because he had a family situation. He wouldn't tell them why just that it was important and he had to stay home.
After Stan and Kyle made it clear they understood they moved on to the nearest burger joint.
Kenny moved himself into his little sister's room where he found her sitting on her bed. Kevin was with her as well.
Karen said "things have really improved around here. We're being fed and we have in door plumbing."
Kevin said "yes our parents have their shit together."
Kenny commented "I know going to that foster home was scary Karen. Furthermore it was perfectly awesome that you were holding on to my arm for a feeling of comfort."
Karen stated clearly "no offense Kevin but I just latched on to Kenny's arm when we were in the police station."
Kevin replied "no offense taken you two looked cute and it was great Kenny could comfort you. I can't help but feel somewhat responsible for us ending up in police custody and the two of you going to a foster home. I went as well. Our case worker was a fucking asshole!"
Karen said "don't feel responsible because dad got drunk and became abusive toward you."
Kenny commented "Kevin you got drunk with dad. Normally I wouldn't care if you drink alcohol but remember me and Karen were caught in the cross fire."
Kevin said "that's why I feel somewhat responsible."
Kenny gave Kevin a big hug and said "just don't drink with dad so you can avoid fighting."
Karen commented "I'm glad to the police didn't hit you with a domestic violence charge."
Kevin yelled out "HOLY SHIT! That's a good point Karen. In this day and age kids get charged with anything and everything. You fight a bully at school and you get an assault charge."
Karen immediately said "I had to deal with a bully at the school I had to go to when I stayed at the orphanage."
Kevin said "well I hope you fought back. I don't care how many teachers got upset."
Karen said "well luckily I had help from a friend who wears a dark knight style costume and he took care of the bully."
Kenny acted clueless and so did Kevin.
Kevin asked Karen if she knew the name of this friend and she said "no" but she considered him a protector.
Kenny replied "well it's great you have a body guard."
Kevin said "okay well getting back to the matter at hand your safety Karen is important to both me and Kenny. Kenny let's double kiss."
Kenny took his hood off and Karen got a kiss from both of them on each cheek.
Kevin said "I do feel bad about the foster care situation but a meth lab out front is what brought the police here."
Karen said "I don't blame you when dad was drunk and picked the fight to begin with."
Kevin hugged Karen tight. After that Kenny hugged her tight.
Kenny said "I think we've covered everything. Oh but before we leave I must ask did you do all your homework Karen?"
Karen answered "yes" and showed it to both her brothers.
Kevin commented "we care about our little sister's grades."
After looking at her homework Karen's brothers left and retired to their rooms for the night.
