Dialogue Prompt: "Technically it wasn't on fire." "Of course it wasn't on fire! You completely blew it up!"
Ryou and Malik both jumped as an explosion sounded from the kitchen in Ryou's apartment. The hikari sent each other apprehensive looks before heading toward the kitchen, where both of their yami had retreated earlier for unknown reasons.
Ryou reached the kitchen first and let out a small scream. The place where the microwave had been was now blackened and it looked like the top had been completely blown off the device. As a result, the part of the ceiling above the microwave was blown in. Near the destroyed machine were both yami with the front of their clothes and faces just as blackened as the space around the microwave.
Malik let out a whistle at the damage. "Wow. How did this happen?"
"Experimentation," Bakura answered simply with a shrug.
"Why must everything you touch end up destroyed or on fire?!" Ryou exclaimed in despair. "The landlord is going to have a heart attack when he sees this!"
"Technically it wasn't on fire," Bakura corrected unfazed by his hikari's worries.
"Of course it wasn't on fire! You completely blew it up!" Marik exclaimed with wide eyes in excitement. "It was marvelous! I've never seen such a small device create so much destruction. Other than the Millennium Items of course. A true artist's work."
"Thank you," Bakura said proudly.
Ryou could feel himself starting to have a panic attack. He tried calming his breathing to avoid a fainting spell.
"Ryou, maybe you should lie down," Malik said, looking worried. "You don't look so good."
"No," Ryou said with a shake of his head. "I need to clean as much of this up as I can before the landlord gets here. I'm sure someone has already called him."
Malik nodded. "Alright. I'll help.
"You two," Malik said, pointing in the yamis' direction. "Get out. You've caused enough trouble."
"Whatever," Bakura said as the two darker halves departed the kitchen.
Ryou let out a sigh as he appraised the damage. "This is going to cost so much money. I just hope the landlord doesn't kick us out for this. Why is it we had to be stuck with the crazy yami?"
Malik shrugged. "I have no idea. Fate's just a bitch I guess. But, if you get kicked out, you could always come live with us. It'll be a little cramped with Ishizu and Odion living there as well, but we'll manage."
Ryou shivered at the idea of the two yami living under the same roof. Nothing good would come from that.
"Let hope it doesn't come to that," Ryou said, grabbing a rag and wetting it to start cleaning the mess. "C'mon. Let's see how much we can do before my landlord gets here."
