What if the Fairy Tail Guild mark was the colour of someone important to you? Someone who would influence you, whether in your past or in your future?'
"Hey Mira," Lucy asked, sipping her strawberry milkshake thoughtfully. "I was wondering. Y'know when I first got my guild mark?" Mira looked up from the glass she was cleaning and nodded curiously. "Why did mine come out pink? Like, I love it and all, but if I didn't ask for pink than why did it come out that way?"
Mira smiled. "Good question Lucy. I asked Master that question once when I first got my mark. I was pretty down at the dumps at the time, but I was still pretty curious about it."
"Oh yeah?" Lucy asked with a small smile.
"He told me - that the colour of our guild mark is the colour of someone who has or will influence you. Maybe in your past or in your future."
Lucy put down her milkshake in surprise. "You mean it's influenced by a person? I thought it would be something to do with- I don't know, the colour of our aura or something."
Mira giggled. "No. Someone you care about and who cares about you too. For example, Juvia's is blue. She got her guild mark after she met Gray, who she obviously cares about a lot. Gray's is blue, but he got his long before he met Juvia. I'm pretty sure his is influenced by Ul, his old master."
"Natsu's is red- I guess for Igneel," Lucy said excitedly. "Romeo's is red, probably for Natsu. Erza's is blue- no doubt for-"
"Don't even finish that sentence," Erza said, sitting down next to her. "Strawberry smoothie please Mira." She turned to Lucy who had fallen off her chair in fright and was climbing back on. "I've been listening to your conversation for a while," she said casually.
"How can you say that with a straight face?" Lucy yelled. Erza continued, ignoring her. "It does make sense. Loke's was green, probably for Karen, Wendy's is blue for Mystogan, Lisanna's is white for both Mira and Elfman and so on. So I'm guessing that yours is pink for a reason."
Lucy looked to her in confusion. "I don't even know why it's pink. Unless it represents my mother or something but her favourite colour was red. And I don't associate anyone else with pink- unless?" Mira and Erza were looking at her expectantly. "It's subconsciously my favourite colour!"
Red and white face palmed and turned to Lucy again, faces red from where they had hit themselves. "Natsu!" they yelled at the same time. "What?" Lucy asked, startled. "Pink- Natsu!"
"B-but- well that does make sense," Lucy said reluctantly. "I mean… he was the one who brought me to the guild and all and completely changed my life. Plus- he's my best friend."
"And soul mate," Mira said teasingly. Lucy spluttered and almost choked on her drink.
"Soul mate?" Natsu said, who had just run in. He sat down next to Lucy and grinned a hello. "Who's soul mate. Whoa, Lucy. You're face has gone all weird. Hey look, it matches my hair!"
