This is just to let people know that I am still alive and writing. Let me know what y'all think and if I should continue…

Most of my writings for the past few years have been original fiction – and so, was posted onto instead of .

And, yes, with my original works I do finish stories and post them- along with my amateur poetry.

A Love Worth Fighting For….

With a latte to her right and a veggie pizza bagel to her left, Hermione sighed. Here she was sitting at D&G's on Cowley Road. Why in the world she chose this location compared to the other two D&G's in town, she did not know. All the Brookes students still in town were getting on her nerves. They may have finished already, but it was still Trinity term and near final exams for her. Quickly finish up the remnants of her meal, she grabbed her messenger bag and her purchases from the Tesco's and went out the door just in time to catch the bus into city centre.

Getting off at the St. Aldates stop she makes her way to her College. A brief stop in her room and then maybe she'd find a peaceful spot somewhere in Christ Church Meadows to revise. It was still early in the day and she was quite glad that the sun was out. A warm, sunny summer day in England must not be wasted.

Hermione Jane Granger; Hogwarts Prefect 1995-1998; University of Oxford, class of 2001; Smartest witch of her age; best friend of Harry Potter. With an impressive resume – though there was that year she took off from Hogwarts to help fight in the war – Hermione had everything going for her. Or so it seemed. She was in her second year of pursuing a degree in History and Politics at Pembroke College, Oxford and while she was happy with her academic life, it was her personal one that bothered her. In a University full of like-minded students she had found comfort. Her relationships with her two best friends were alright. During her final year at Hogwarts, both Ron and Harry jumped at the opportunity to become Aurors without completing their education. After a year of training, they were out on the field capturing Death Eaters. Hermione stayed and graduated with Ginny who had become the Captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team and was currently on her way to stardom with the Holyhead Harpies, she had even rekindled her relationship with Harry.

The kiss that Ron had shared with Hermione was just that. One kiss. With the war over, her at school and him out in the workforce, their relationship had not progressed. It had become awkward for the two to be together. All the repressed emotions that both held during their Hogwarts days had gone and it was still blatantly obvious that the two liked each other. Yet, they still pretended that nothing had happened. Fear that if they started something they would lose their friendship, the opposite had happened. They started to grow apart. Their friendship had turned to one of close acquaintances. To distract herself from heartbreak, Hermione concentrated on her school work. She excelled in everything that she did, as usual.

Finding a nice spot by the River Cherwell, she took out a blanket and laid it on the grass. Looking around, she saw no muggles in the near vicinity and transformed a rock into a pillow that she could lean on. Once comfortable, she got her revision notes out of her messenger bag and began to read through them.
