I see you've decided to read my one-shot. Thank you! I know you're probably thinking "But there's Solangelo!" Yes, I know that (and I am fine with the ship), but I made this one-shot around 2012 when I finished reading the whole PJO series and I wanted to play around with the characters a little bit, so thus the birth of this one-shot. This is the first work I am willing to share for now. - colorlessplumtree

She didn't even know how she ended up being "friends" with Will Solace.
They were complete opposites: she was the somber, pessimistic girl, and he was the happy-go-lucky, optimistic guy.

The first time they've met, it was April and it was raining terribly hard. She needed to get to the bus stop across the street, but her umbrella won't extend and when she kept trying and trying she didn't notice him walking towards her and hit him in the crotch by accident.

Normally, she didn't talk much.

Things this absurd never happened to her.

She apologized profusely, her eyes the size of dinner plates.

He gave her a pained smile and told her he was all right.

Usually people she's hit by accident would glare at her or just nod.

She would glare back if she felt brave enough or walk away as if nothing happened.

This one was different.

She held his gaze. His eyes were bright, vibrant shade of blue.

She favored dark hues over light ones.

She decided she likes the color blue.

She apologized again once he straightened up.

He gave her another smile and reassured her he was fine.

He asked her if he could help with her umbrella.

She didn't say anything, but he took it from her hands.

His hands brushed against hers. She curled her fingers once he got her umbrella.

He extended the umbrella with ease and held it for them.

It didn't matter much anymore.

They were both soaking wet.

He asked her where she was supposed to go.

She didn't look at him. She told him she just needed to get across the street.

He told her he was going there too until he saw her.

She blinked at him. He'd stopped in his tracks to help with her umbrella?

They walked together and stayed in the shed.

He shook her umbrella and closed it. She watched as he gently folded its canopy and handed it to her.

She thanked him for helping with the umbrella situation.

He thanked her for letting her walk with him to the bus stop.

They both waited for a bus.

He talked to her about random things like facts pertaining to health, typical days in his life, and his first driver's ed lesson.

She was quiet but she listened intently. His life seemed much more interesting than hers.

His voice sounded friendly and warm and the way he talked seemed a little singsong.

She decided she likes his voice.

He was talking about a summer camp he goes to when the bus arrived.

They stood there waiting for the crowd of passengers to go out.

He turned to her and looked into her eyes.

"Will Solace." He said with a smile.

She blinked at him and gave him a small almost-smile.

"Carter Van der Wurth." She said.

She rarely spoke. Her voice was silvery and soft-spoken.

He decided he likes her.

So... what do you guys think? I apologize for any mistakes, and if it seemed a little dull. Thanks for giving it a read! :) - colorlessplumtree
