First Kiss
Her face is tilted up to mine, and her dark eyes are wide. I swallow, finally laying my palm on her cheek. Her flesh is soft and warm.
"Marianne," I whisper hoarsely, entranced.
The garden is quiet: we are utterly alone.
"Brandon," she says breathlessly. Then, daringly: "Christopher."
I close my eyes, a groan falling from my mouth that is full of longing and desire. My name from her lips is surely a sound from heaven.
"Yes?" I ask, bending closer.
"Oh," she murmurs, her fingers now curling into my coat. "Yes."
Heart racing, I press my lips to hers.
